Like a proud papa, I’m showing off my first Scarlet Rosemallow. This is a hardy Hibiscus species, also known as Texas star, brilliant hibiscus and scarlet hibiscus. I gathered seeds from a plant last year and plated it last fall, then she sprouted while in the greenhouse over the winter. #gardening
