The eyesight of the baby raccoons isn’t developed enough to be able to make out the ermine yet, it’s hilarious. Fun times over at my friend Medora, the animal rescuer’s house.
Some cute Vermont barn swallows here today, they’re not quite out and about yet though
Great show from Squirrel Flower @sqrrlflwr.bsky.social tonight at Higher Ground. Such an amazing songwriter with a stunning voice.
I kayaked over to watch this bald eagle feed her eaglets last weekend with my 17yo daughter. It was incredible
Went on a nice kayak today and got to watch a bald eagle come back with some fish for little eaglets in the nest (couldn’t quite see the eaglets, just faint glimpses of their heads)
love the ducklings. I used up most of my awwws today with baby coyotes!
What a great show last night in Burlington! Thank you for making such beautiful music, you guys have a wonderful energy as well, so much happiness and love for each other- it infuses the music. I should have gotten a picture of you with Isla, oh well, next time!
Here is Elsa on the grass, my great grandmother in the white shirt behind, arm in arm with my great grandfather, Arthur Garfield Hays, who was a young civil rights lawyer and had just co-founded the ACLU. Friggin wild right?! Who is the character far left? Woodstock, NY 1921
There’s something incredibly profound about getting this photo from my 18yo son. It might have only been a small local election but he made sure to make time to go vote for his first time before heading to work today!
Managed to dig up photos of the time Jesse Jackson had cake with us in Concord, NH back when I was in high school, 1997. That’s me far left with the white shirt and tie.
Just uncovered a Nickolas Muray photo of my great grandmother, Blanche Marks Hays
Thanks for that, I hadn’t thought to share her story with my 16yo daughter, who is way into Mucha and Art Noveau. We’ve got lots of posters featuring Sarah!
That storm looks different over in that other place. Did not realize the cold was a government plot until yesterday
We were kicking ass in the Vermont snow today, empowering people by teaching timber skills. Cold AF though!
This was a volunteer event we went to a few weekends ago at a scout camp in NH. The ratio of trans/non-binary and female vs cis male great- and it was at a boy scout camp! It's been a fun summer teaching four of those folks, super proud of them, this was just one of their many accomplishments
My grandmother managed to meet him and get his signature as a fifteen year old back in 1925
