Adding my own two cents in the ring here. I've been drawing for a really long time and at times I feel like I should be further along than I am for how long I've been at it. Then I look at my older art, and I look at how good it feels when I get a drawing feeling right, and I know I won't ever stop.

The one creator I watch deadass uses hand drawn pictures on Popsicle sticks and swaps between various "frames" for their more recent stuff. Truly if you have intent and passion, you can get by with so little technology.

I feel like part of it is that Congalala doesn't read as gross as a baseline design like Khezu does, so if you aren't someone who has played a game featuring it you'd only have the baseline visuals. Plus, I feel some of the pics you can easily find suit a certain vibe.

So, I don't normally go super hard on Gacha banners but the new Rodion in Limbus has such immaculate vibes I may have been getting a bit heated.

I've been on a bit of a hot streak with art as I do a little retrospective on the various renditions of Articus. It's been real interesting to experience my old art and design choices from the past iterations. Also the cringe of reading your younger internet self.

The first Articus, back when I was mostly just a tiger. This sketch shows that version of me with a bare torso, jeans, a hip cape... thing that I decided was a part of my look... and a pair of goggles.

Articus the second, the era where I was officially a homunculus. The body composition was relatively the same and the big difference will be colors. We see this version of the sona doing a full body stretch, twisting their back with their arms used to help leverage the motion. He where's a loose jacket over a vest (I think that's what I had drawn) with no under shirt. This is worn over a pair of jeans again.

Fun fact, before I once had two separate sonas at the same time. One (seen here on the left) was meant to be the OG side that was more wolf and the other (on the right) was meant to be more tiger. I forget the lore reason they were split... No clothes on them yet, so they merely stand here, back to back. Their bodies in mirrored pose to each other while they hold hand and glance at each other.

Apparently that voice echoed into my past because I basically did this except with "you're already kinda fat, what if your fursona was just fat too." And it really did wonders.

A look back at twink Articus, the skinny bitch bring the same white, grey, and black fur colors that they now but with none of the heft. Also shoulder pad wing patterns I guess???

A more update to date Articus. You got he white, grey, and black fur, and the tiger stripes. We see them now with the chonk and the glasses and new arrangement of markings. These ones I actually remember!!

I felt the call to make a new character to explore some thoughts I've been working through, and I think I got his facial features figured out in a lot few iterations than other new designs, which was nice. The lower right look on the last page is what I've settled on #ArticusArts

This hit me in two stages, silly and then hot. The silly came with my brain summoned this image. Then it processed it in "friends hot" and hit me with the very powerful setup of you needing to get my sona's attention and just casually tugging down on something to bring them to your height.
