So, I wouldn't agree that the main cause of brain drain is reservation. In my opinion, people go for better paying jobs, better research facilities etc.. Some of these global CEOs probably went for better opportunities..
DSA website mentions that working people should run the economy and society democratically. I think this is not feasible, and will only lead to everything being owned by government and every worker a govt. employee.. leading to massive inefficiencies and lead to scarcity of essential goods.
Just one of numerous lakes along the Himalayan routes in Arunachal Pradesh, in the month of May. Just beautiful ! I guess all these lakes will be frozen in a few months..
It is good to see the "Times of India" devote a whole page to the terrible situation in Ukraine, ..due to Russia's unprovoked aggression.. ..for the last 4 years... ..with hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles striking Ukraine everyday..
Looking at the map as a layman, with no military knowledge, it seems to me that this is more wishful thinking than a practical reality.. especially when China has more warships than the US (in numbers, not in tonnage)
Happy children's day to all in India ! November 14 is celebrated as Children's Day in India to honour Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary.
It was a good day for Democracy yesterday, in the US. People voiced their preferences clearly and emphatically. Affordability, Mamdani's key slogan, has become the new mantra of all politicians now. Even Trump is posting about affordability now !
If there is one wrong doing, it will make headlines, and talked about for weeks and months even.. However, if there is a continuous stream of atrocities, we become numb to it, i guess.. That's their plan.. (Scene from Andor, a star wars spinoff series ⬇️)
Dialogue from Andor (Star wars spin off).. makes so much sense.. "The pace of repression outstrips our ability to understand it. It is easier to hide behind 40 atrocities than a single incident.."
The eloquent Jamie Raskin gave the best retort, something like: "This is not an intelligence test, this is an ethics test, this is a constitutional test" !
Remembering Alexei Navalny, who died one year ago, on 16 Feb 2024, in a Russian prison in Siberia. One of the bravest men with the biggest heart. His final message: "You are not allowed to give up" Rest in peace 🙏 #Navalny
If the US withdraws military support to Ukraine, it will be a terrible setback. However, there is still enough economic power in other countries, to support Ukraine in its valiant defence.
Wish you a happy Pongal 🌾 Pongal is a harvest festival celebrated in Tamil Nadu, South India. Pongal is also a sweet and tasty dish made using rice, dal, jaggery, ghee and nuts. (In Tamil language, Pongu means food boiling over while cooking)
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate 🎄🎄 My wish is for the genocide and wars to end. And for truth to prevail !
