A nighthawk flies around our property at dusk, always see it flying low to the ground on a dive and zooms by pretty quick. Well last night it was cruising pretty slow following a bat heading directly over us. It was cool as hell. My wife had her phone out and very confidently took this photo of it.
This bad boy has been chillin’ in the back of my fridge for at least year, figure it’s the perfect one to kickoff this beer drinkin’ holiday.
We went to Phoenix last week to see Haute and Freddy (incredible show) with a couple friends. Was there about 3 days, had a helluva time, and I took exactly 4 photos.

I’m building a little guest cottage on our property, and a few years ago I had this harebrained idea to do the ceiling in a multi color chevron pattern. Today I nailed the last piece and get to see drink a cold one beneath it. Helluva good Monday.

Very much a lifetime ago, (2/18/2009!) but I think this was the only time my name was on a venue’s marquis. The fact it’s the now shuttered Double Door in Chicago makes it an extra special memory.
Turns out the ‘Ol Facebook is even more insane than I imagined. It’s been a wild ride. I think maga’s greatest invention is weaponized stupidity. Genuinely jealous of how confident people can be while saying the dumbest shit imaginable.
Very excited for August’s long, long awaited debut album. The trio of EPs they’ve released over the years are perfect pop songwriting. Experiencing them performing Hollywood Forever Cemetery at the actual Hollywood Forever Cemetery back in 2022 was such a special moment.
