#WIPSnips I really had to dig for this one and it truly is so far from adjacent, but what can you do in a story that takes place almost exclusively in an abandoned manor hours from any city. So instead of stadium, have a gathering of people described in a painting. #TheColorsThatHaunt

A gathering in the parlor. Women in jewel-toned gowns reclined on the settees, the velvet bright and untouched by age. Men in high collars and waistcoats stood with glasses of champagne, their faces animated mid-laughter, mid-conversation. The sconces glowed soft gold on the wallpaper's now bright damask pattern.
