Worms aren't native to MN so when I find one I always dispose of it by feeding it to something that is native. This one eyed lady got a juicy snack. I just have to be accurate and throw it to her good side.

As far as invasive groundcovers go, this lemon thyme (i think that'swhat it is) is pretty popular with pollinators. I'd be afraid to walk on it. The BSI (bees per square inch) is much too high.
My phone screen or camera can't handle the red of Scarlet Bee Balm. It's starting to wrap up but regular ol Wild Bergamot is starting up. Had a hummingbird moth that wouldn't sit still for a pic but Otto wasn't moving.

My incident was an Uber stopped in the right traffic lane in and unloading passenger side riders directly into the bike path. It would have been safer to just block the bike path with the entire car. They ended up blocking it with doors anyway, but an entire car would have given me more warning.

Pasture thistle appreciation post- Storm snapped one of my security thistles before it could flower. It still reached a bit over 8 ft. Based of the stem was slightly over 2 inches.
I'm still afraid to plant Trumpet Vine but I think most of the horror stories are from people further south. This one a few blocks away seems controlled. If i do plant one, I'll do the bucket method. Gonna give my Virgins Bower and Illinois Rose a few seasons to establish before going nuclear.

The idea that the 2.5 gallon spillway in my pond isn't big enough got in my head, and now I can't stop thinking of this nice 165 gallon one. If i mostly filled it with gravel and dirt I could get such good roots

The pond I dug is essentially a fuck puddle for critters in my yard and it's still clearer and deeper than the reflecting pool.
