This image shows the back of the colourful Toronto Sign in illuminated lilac with a red and yellow design on the sides, located in Nathan Phillips Square. It is located directly in front of Toronto City Hall and the historic Old City Hall. The square is a popular tourist destination and public space for events, festivals, and photos. There are many South Asian people sitting and standing around eating food from one of the vendors on the other side of the sign, celebrating "A Taste of India" festival that day. This shows mostly a view of a surf coming into a slippery, rocky shore, but with a Moroccan couple in traditional dress sitting on the rocks almost dead centre. He with white headgear, she all in black, and bare feet. They obviously have negotiated a series of, what appear to be scattered flat rocks covered in sea slime interspersed with puddles, to sit on them with their backs to the camera to watch the surf of the ocean roll in.

This metal sign on a lamppost features visible vandalism including graffiti. Taken at an upwards angle from the sidewalk, the post, surrounded by the tops of trees, appears heavily weathered or rusted, causing the dark paint to peel away. A modern LED lamp is seen against the sky. The attached signage, of which there are two, is not seen as it is taken from behind. Such damaged infrastructure sometimes indicates a pole that has failed inspection and is scheduled for maintenance or replacement. Peeps of the blue and white cloudy sky add to the interesting textures in the photograph.

This appears to be an abandoned blue vintage Peterbilt diesel truck located in Hawaii. The truck is heavily overgrown with vines and vegetation. It is likely a Peterbilt 359 model, recognised by the cutouts for the air cleaners.

It is located in a rustic, rural part of Hawaii where tropical vegetation and vines have heavily reclaimed the vehicle.

Similar vintage trucks found in abandoned or "barn find" states are often sought after for restoration projects. Some enthusiasts aim to revive these "highway legends," while others value them for usable parts such as doors, breathers, and fenders.

This appears to be some kind of rusted four sided sign in a remote area of The Big Island Hawaii. It is on a tall rusted pole and is set against a beautiful rich blue sky. There are many holes in the sign. (Read on to find out why). The bottom part of the photo is gravel and a block of concrete the sign is imbedded within. The background is arid, I guess due to volcanic activity. The Big Island is renowned for its intense trade winds and frequent gale-force gusts The evenly spaced holes are engineered into the aluminium to act as wind vents - and is common throughout the island.

The image is taken from the shore but with a vantage point underneath an ancient wood jetty over the slightly rippled gorgeous blue sea upon which the wooden support beams are reflected and distorted. A main cross beam near the top of the image marks the spot one would have stepped onto the jetty. The cross beams (with no platform between them anymore) further out are covered in dried weeds and gunk as they lead into the distance across the water giving the impression of reaching over to meet the pine tree covered hill on the shoreline.

This is the "Ice Drag," a historic electric locomotive used to break up ice near the Canadian Niagara Power Station. It was originally used to clear ice accumulation from the water intake to prevent blockages.The machine weighs approximately 16 metric tonnes. It is currently on display in Niagara Falls, Ontario, near the Rankine Generating Station. The locomotive in this pic is green-ish and extremely rusty. Here it is abandoned. That said, my research since I took this a few years ago, seems to suggest it has since been given a facelift. I looked, and it was simply painted the same colour all over, and much prefer it's time honoured appearance looking like this.

Ancient rusted anchors located at Lighthouse Marine Park in Point Roberts, Washington. The park features a gravel shoreline, picnic areas, and views of the Straits of Juan de Fuca. A battered looking red British phone booth with no door, no phone, no shelf. The inside back wall bears the remnants of what used to be affixed, and ironically, the markings and holes looks like a shocked face that is dirty and black, as if it was painted over, or had a fire inside. The top exterior has some small stickers, like ads or flyers whatever. It stands beside a STOP sign also containing small stickers. The backdrop is a slatted wall of a building on the bottom with a drainpipe running across it, and a whitish top part. A partial view of a green bush climbing up the side is on the right. The sidewalk is unkempt with overgrown grass.

This weathered post holds four metal mailboxes piled on top of each other, likely in a rural location, I forget where exactly, but somewhere in the "boonies" of British Columbia, no doubt. The structures appear worn and rusty, suggesting long-term exposure to the elements, one of the mailboxes is partially open, by mistake by the looks of it, the second one is fulluy open and the bottom two are closed. They still have those little flags on them, one green and another red. There are buildings in the background, and the road the post is on, looks a bit rough with unkempt grassy edge.

This is the iconic Science World geodesic dome in Vancouver, British Columbia, transformed into a giant soccer ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The installation is designed to look like the "Adidas Trionda," the official match ball for the 2026 tournament. It is a 40-meter diameter, 360-degree re-creation of the ball, officially installed to celebrate Vancouver as a host city.The transformation was a grassroots effort by local Vancouverites that gained traction leading up to the 2026 games. the scene is taken from across a silvery body of water upon which a rainbow coloured vessel with the word "Aquabus" printed on it twice carrying passengers. There is a hi-rise peeking out from the top of the "ball" against and blue and white cloudy sky. Canadian flags can be seen on the right.

This is a very large bronze statue (oxidised green) of a nude soldier seen from behind located at the Plaza de España in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. He is a very fit, muscled individual with a tight bum. lol. In front of him is a large tree with a pale trunk and beside that a park bench where a couple of women are resting to take in the scenery from the front of the statue. lol.

It is part of the "Monumento a los Caídos" (Monument to the Fallen) in the Spanish Civil War.

The statue is known for showing significant wear on its buttocks due to tourists touching it.

Artist: Deborah Butterfield, internationally celebrated for her abstract, equestrian-themed sculptures made from found objects and natural materials. This is what might be considered a skeletal sculpture of a horse standing on some grass in front of some windows.

Material: Though it looks like it is crafted from a collection of wood, sticks, and found branches, it is actually cast in bronze.

Acquisition: The artwork is a prominent part of UBC’s public art collection and was donated to the university.

Location: Placed idyllically at the water's edge on the Main Lawn, creating a peaceful reflection space for students and visitors.

The image shows from the back, what I believe is a sort of street person, wearing unusual attire in Rome. They are mostly dressed in red, from head to knees with a combination of a short and a plastic skirt while carrying a bulging red back pack of sorts and a red carrier bag hanging from their waste, partially filled. Their feet and bottom of their legs appear to be wrapped with some kind of beige tape but its almost like they are wearing balloons as the tape is so over the top. They are holding onto a stick/staff, that may be home made, also with the tape around the handle. They appear to be talking to a man looking at a cell phone in front of a booth on the street that sells postcards which cover the entirety of it.

This image features the Cape Spear Lighthouse National Historic Site in Newfoundland, Canada in the near distance from over a moss covered yellowish/green wasteland with various size rocks, large and small, scattered throughout and a scraggly looking bush near the right hand side. There are three other white buildings to the right of it, spaced quite a bit apart. There is a hint of some people at the same level on the left. The sky is pale blue.

This is recognised as the easternmost point of land in North America. The site includes both the oldest surviving lighthouse in the province, constructed in 1836, and a modern lighthouse.Visitors can also explore remnants of a Canadian-manned World War II gun battery used to defend St. John's harbour.

Grouse Mountain unfurled the largest Canadian flag ever displayed on a mountain. Measuring 160 m × 80 m (the size of nearly two football fields), the 3,000-pound flag was installed on "The Cut" ski run for the FIFA World Cup and was certified by Guinness World Records. The picture shows the north shore mountain covered in pine trees with buildings beneath it

Location: Stretched across "The Cut" ski run on Grouse Mountain, visible here and from across Metro Vancouver, the Burrard Inlet, and by incoming flights.

Measures 160 meters by 80 meters and weighs approximately 3,000 pounds (1,587 kg). It consists of 60 individual panels sewn together.

Orientation: Because the flag is so massive, it had to be displayed vertically (tilted on its side) to fit the ski run.
