Since green salads make you poop yourself to death, we're getting inventive. Today it's garbanzo tahini salad AND leftover cucumber dill salad from last night.
Woke up to find a vulture in a dead tree staring at the house. In other news, I have a doctor's appointment later this morning, so wish me luck!
We had excellent seats. Second row orchestra with no one in front of us.
I've got J's car for the day and poking around while waiting in the Dunks drive thru, I found an SD card slot??? With a card in it????
I'm reading Daniel Kraus' latest, and one of the blurbs on the back is all "the redefinition of body horror" and I'm like, "pffft. I've read Kameron Hurley and Andrew Joseph White and Gretchen Felker-Martin, fucking bring it." ... ... ... ... there's eyeball stuff on page 12.
Cat pics, you say? Please enjoy Gordo annoying his mother (Misty).
On this auspicious Girl Dinner night, let me give you an unasked for piece of advice (which will have a quarter of the world mad at me): Make your hummus with pinto beans and lentils instead of chickpeas and thank me later.

Well, I've hit the halfway point on *one* of the blankets, just not the one that's a gift. Whoops, I guess?
I don't know why 1.5k people liked my post, but thanks? Anyway, the part I'm really proud of is including strawberry preserves between the two layers without losing structural integrity.
I'm not the best cake decorator (to put it mildly), but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.
Because 1) I love beans and 2) I have errands to run today, here's dinner: Coconut chickpea curry! (Chickpeas, pinto beans, canned tomatoes, diced butternut squash, onion, garam masala, curry, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano. Coconut will be added before serving.)
Oof, seeing a lot of pro- Russia nonsense in the timeline, so it's time to log off and enjoy my book. Much more productive use of my time.
Okay, but what if What if I refused to make anything other than salads this summer?
Uh. His proboscis is starting to look like an uncut white penis and and and I have regrets.
While I wait for the shading to dry on Strewg, I started this giant fly named Squort. I got a really cool bronze color effect by accident– I put down a layer of pale green and started brushing on bronze paint before it had fully dried. But I love the color it turned out, so it stays!
Me: I hate painting bases. It sucks. Also me: lovingly picks out all the maggots. I decided to go darker and swapped out the morghast bone for dark flesh and added vomit on top of the black green.
But first, breakfast! Yogurt, granola, and melon with rose black tea in my shiny new University of Rhode Island mug.
