The wife of a British officer, she had begun her adult life as a "farm servant" on Skye. White shirtdress style; the tailored bodice has a band collar, center placket, and wrist-length set-in sleeves. The gathered skirt is full, with a slightly-gathered ruffle at the hem. Dress is ornamented with shiny green beetle wings, scattered in restrained patterns. There are strips of a foliage pattern on the major parts of the mostly-white bodice. From waist to knee there are scattered buds and a few lines of foliage. From knee to ruffle there is a repeating series of large paisley motifs, with four visible in this front view, built up of small leaves.

Embellished with gold and lapis lazuli, this dagger was buried with Egyptian Princess Ita, c. 1900 BCE. Unearthed but unstudied and labeled a "ceremonial object," it was "rediscovered" in basement storage in 2000. archive.is/202607171437...

Equipboard shows this one used by Howard when Alabama Shakes performed HOLD ON for Letterman in 2012. Not sure it's the same guitar she used in the SINNERS performance at the Oscars. But it certainly hit me as a tribute.

Indeed - a transitional model. That equipboard post has a few nice details - see the alt text. "These gradual changes allow us to confirm the exact year and model: a 1962 Gibson Les Paul SG. The Maestro vibrato was replaced by the vibrola in 1963 and the "Les Paul Custom" logo moved... in 1962.
