19th July 2026 Cairn Curran Reservoir near Newstead, Victoria in the fog…haven’t seen it like this in the 20 or so years we’ve been coming out here!!!! Different world!
18th July 2026 The water in Chinamans Spring in Trentham is so clear that you wouldn’t think those gum leaves closest to me were 20-30cm under water!!! The water in the shade reflects like a mirror.
13th July 2026 From earlier years on the 13th of July. So far this year we’ve only had sleet on one day. Huey…..get your act together please. We’ve had enough rain, now we’d like snow. Trentham.

8th July 2026 This morning’s wintery amble around Trentham after 10.30am after another freezing night of -4.8°C. The 2 nights before that were -5.2° and -3.7°C.
8th July 2026 After a crunchy frost of -5.2C in Trentham, Victoria last night, the plants were still bejewelled at 9.30 this morning!
7th July 2026 Bendigo today for a routine medical check. Not allowed to have caffeine so I had my first milkshake in years!!!!

26th June 2026 Took a friend out to celebrate her 80th birthday today at the Kyneton RSL. Our favourite table in the winter sun and great food!!
24th June 2026 Chinaman’s Spring, Trentham. A duck kindly gave me some gentle ripples to smooth out in the image.
23rd June 2026 Some running around to do today in Woodend and Kyneton then coffee and pick lamington with cream!!
22nd June 2026 Took a friend up to pick up her Ute from the local train station. The local crows weren’t happy about that!!
21st June 2026 After 200mm / 8” of rain in June, Trentham Falls looks lovely!!
20th June 2026 Who gave the welcoming committee our itinerary? They appeared within an hour of us arriving home.
18th June 2026 Sunset in LA as we head home to Australia after chasing storms in the US for the last couple of months. There won’t be an update for the 19th because we lose the day on the way across the Pacific.
17th June 2026 Smoke from a large structure fire earlier today, along with haze, drapes across the hills east of Los Angeles late this afternoon.
