Today's new thing i learned about unity - docs.unity3d.com/6000.4/Docum... Guess who had a ScriptableObject that was loaded from the asset database, was only references on the stack and was getting unloaded mid function on a prebuild process. *crylaugh*

This is a screenshot from the Unity Documentation - Specificity the documentation on the Resources.UnloadUnusedAssets

Highlighted is the following line:

"The script execution stack, however, is not examined so an asset referenced only from within the script stack will be unloaded. All assets other than ScriptableObjects are loaded back in the next time one of its properties or methods is used."

The part "other than ScriptableObjects" is underlined 3 times in frustration
