I’m more a chatter-with & connector-of people than a poster. I’ll remember years later that you once said you like pancakes & tag you in a recipe I just found. Banner - a flopsed rabbit called Chive. Avatar - me in a Giant Chair in Danish Design Museum.
The cat that got the cream! Less begging, more insinuating herself into a position where she can’t be ignored 😂
Who’d have thought that instead of nuclear apocalypse and Terminators, we’d just let tech bros take all the water, fuel and jobs for AI that isn’t even self-aware and let humanity fade with a whimper?
Check out Pernaton - you can still take pain killers with it but it’s great for joint pain relief (though pal with advanced osteoarthritis said it’s mostly like a pleasant distraction than actual relief, but for earlier stages, it is good). Hope there is a path for you to feeling better. X
I love when this happens - a Venus Fly Trap flower. I always keep a fly eater amongst my herbs, cos they attract fruit flies and this way both I and another plant are happy with that circumstance.
I’ve seen an image that is SO cursed, it must be AI, but a business with a budget made it (for a good cause, so I don’t want to harsh the mellow) BUT IT NAUSEATES ME & MAKES ME WANT TO CRY (which usually means AI) - to not dox, here are two corners: tell me no human designed this!
I looked it up - I pass it regularly, it advertises €5 pints, which has suggested to me an ambience at odds with what I’m seeking at this more considered time of life, though I wouldn’t have objected to it in my rowdier years. First review I saw on google maps…
These were lo res to begin with, taken by phone out the kitchen window last Spring, determined not to disturb the mating dance of the pigeons - the shapes are still remarkable though.
I’d have hoped my sister’s illustration would have been irrelevant other than as an historical artefact after the referendum, but here we still are. Fingers crossed for this time, eh @mlonergan.bsky.social?

Saw this last week as well - even where companies didn’t remove the letters EDI from their policies, the impact of Trump and his ilk has been regressive.
Your Dublin Your Voice survey results - 67% of people have concerns about emerging tech. Who are the 33% who don’t poke about in the possibility of the future at all? Imagine not having concerns? How freeing it must be to be oblivious!
This cartoon might amuse you, if you haven’t seen it before www.thenation.com/wp-content/u...
Not talking about anti-immigrant or transphobic posts, but beginning to reveal the kind of person they are.
Waiting in hairdressers, they offered me a coffee and this came with it - not really in a chocolatey mood but I’m not going to turn down the chance to taste a Fauxple Snack!
Chive Bunny has completed her Winter Moulting and commenced her Spring Moulting - it’s hard being a rabbit all the same.
Couldn’t see an exact phrase but liked this one. Think could have solo application!
Something ironic in receiving this prompt when sharing a screen cap to non Bsky pals (all of them familiar to you, Dermot). I’m imagining the future world of images produced by AI Slop being edited by AI and the increasing distortion of the shamrock.
The Luas in trouble for similar, with the Paytriots trying to spin it into a Great Replacement Anti Christian conspiracy theory rather than a lazy AI mess.
My eldest knitted herself a cardi using punk rock mohair I’d gotten her for Christmas, so she used some of the vintage buttons from my Gran’s button box to finish it. I’d have done it differently: and that’s the joy of making your own stuff right there, you can do your own thing :)
It turns out the carpenters in the house next door were using a generator without venting exhaust - our alarm probably saved their lives!!! 2.5 hours huddled in the car, grateful for shelter: unhappy bunnies all! House now freezing & bootmarked, but We’re Alive! And so are the workmen next door. 3/3
On the bus, a woman nearly crying to a friend on the phone, with joy and relief that the sun has come out. Just so tough this past while, important to snatch time outside while it’s dry!
