Messages which proclaim inclusion from bodies like USA Soccer sure hit different when you’re a tranny and no, there’s not a place for me or anyone else like me in your game. You could be a little less insufferable about it, actually. 🤷♀️
All I’m saying is that estrogen loves this girl… (from her IG a few weeks ago)
I also deeply appreciated that Amy (Annie's mirror persona who shows up in part II) gently chides Annie about using those kinds of message boards toward the end of the novel, pointing out there were other ways to find connection and meaning from healthier corners of the Internet.
I had a glorious time at the Red Clay Strays show last night at the Houston Rodeo!
If you're Of a Certain Age and were on USENET in the 90s, this observation is for you: Have you ever noticed how Tr*mp's posts read like Robert E. McElwaine wrote them?
Happy new year friends. Let’s hope 2026 s a better and more surprising year than the last one.
My year in (trad published) books. This doesn’t include the hundreds of pages of serialized fiction from patreon and many other self-published books I read last year. Biggest surprise: I like audiobooks and I’m going to listen to a lot more of them in 2026.
But the section that’s going to live rent free in my head for a while is this. Thank you to all those ancient IRC goddesses and sorceresses who are granting names and opening doors for their sisters. I'm so grateful to you. You did me far more good than you ever did me wrong.

This excerpt from the linked article is one of the pitfalls the engineering team had to grapple with: hitting tail latency for operations across many nodes approaches 1 with alarming rapidity. Very interesting read!
I’m reading this essay I randomly encountered on substack open.substack.com/pub/laurenbu... and this passage struck me like a thunderbolt. Is GC antipathy to trans people a form of “stolen valor?”
Have you ever noticed how crazy good Ms Casey’s posture is when she’s sitting with the MDR crew?
Post a photos you took with no context to bring some zen to the timeline.
Here are the search results I see in the USA store. Blacked out a very stupid book by a very insidious author... it's definitely not your book though.
🎤⬇️ I can't compete with this kind of high quality shitposting. I'm so cooked.
Tonight I saw Urban Souls Dance Company’s show celebrating their 20 year anniversary. We as a community have a lot to learn about resilience and power from the Black community.
So @emilystjams.bsky.social has a new book coming out next week and I'm excited about reading it. It's set in this incredibly tiny town of Mitchell, South Dakota, where I went out of my way to visit once driving from SF to Minneapolis for a job. (Mostly to take a tour of the Corn Palace.) 1/3
