A Wild Lib Appeared
@awildlibappeared
This account is a place for me to share silliness, interesting articles, political thoughts, and more. Follow along for the fun! 🥴🫠😭 Issues I tend to focus on: economy, civil rights, healthcare, housing, immigration, foreign policy, climate change. 🇺🇸🏴🇮🇷🇲🇽🏳️🌈
To those who think polling in the #WIGov primary election was wildly flawed, consider: * Polls showed Francesca Hong at ~42%. * Most of the margins of error included Hong's current vote percentage of 39.5%. The polls weren't wrong on Hong. They just didn't foresee Crowley coalescing the field.
Doing a little research on the winners in primary elections tonight. On his website, Matt Little, the Democratic nominee for Minnesota's swingy 2nd congressional district, says the following about being mayor of Lakeville. The "obviously" kills me. 😂 @littleforcongress.bsky.social #MN02 #Chipotle
According to @natesilver.bsky.social's polling aggregator on his Substack, Trump's aggregate approval rating has fallen to a new second-term low of -20.6. #uspol #trump www.natesilver.net/p/trump-appr...
While everyone on #ElectionSky is anxiously debating whether or not the #BlueWave2026 will be a disappointing +5 D or a +10 D tsunami, the folks in right-wing spaces be like...
Taking a screenshot of this chart from the following New York Times opinion piece so we can reference it post-midterms. Worth noting that, of all people, Nate Silver is the most bullish on Dems. #BlueWave2026 www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
Shoutout to the text solicitation writer who decided to open with a pun for Senator Lisa BLUNT Rochester. @bluntrochester.senate.gov #DESen #DEpol #Delaware
Sometimes, it actually is worth your time to read the comments, like this beautifully written one on @michellegoldberg.bsky.social’s DNC autopsy column (which is also worth reading). www.nytimes.com/2026/05/22/o...
A lot of Californians who watched the CBS News #CAGovDebate tonight are saying how awful the moderator was in the second segment. That's Julie Watts, the "journalist" who pestered Katie Porter about not trying to win over MAGA voters, leading to the viral clip of Porter acting argumentative. #CAGov
So many Swalwell tweets to cite now...he ain't beating the accusations of projection.
You should read the article. It's distressing and backed with credible evidence. And reportedly, more stories are about to come out. In all likelihood, Swalwell is a serial rapist. This is not a hill you want to die on, mate.
Cheyenne Hunt, Arielle Fodor ("mrs frazzled"), the Organizer Memes account (here on BlueSky as @organizermemes.bsky.social but they post a lot less), and former Hillary strategist Michael Trujillo all have been posting Swalwell accusations on Twitter for weeks/months. Look if you don't believe me.
Have political concerns? Worried Trump will stay in office forever? Terrified that JD Vance might become President in 2028? The Wisconsin Supreme Court election would like a word with you... #BlueWave2026
Jim Cramer coming at us with one of the worst takes imaginable on the war with Iran. Literally suggesting we repeat Vietnam...🤦♂️
It is gross how GOP political consultants make these types of comments about disgustingly large amounts of money without batting an eye. It's even more disturbing how outlets like @politico.com bury such comments in articles & don't treat them like a national scandal. #Texas #TXSen #TXpoli #uspoli
A sordid detail that the mainstream media has overlooked: during the deposition on Epstein, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert attempted to ask Hillary Clinton about frazzledrip. IYKYK. And if you don't know...honestly, you probably don't want to know.
How does the @nytimes.com manage to find these people for their #SOTU reactions? Like, bro, WTF are you even talking about? 😂
Consider it explained. And while I like both Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico, I have to say...this whole thing reeks of a desperate smear attack against Talarico. It doesn't make Crockett's campaign look good.
Friendly reminder to the @nytimes.com about Betteridge’s law of headlines: “Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.” #Minneapolis
BREAKING NEWS: For the first time in over 25 years, the U.S. Drought Monitor shows #California entirely free of any state of drought or dryness. Not even an inch is classified as abnormally dry. So yeah, we don't need any kind of ICE in California. #capoli droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap/S...
The ICE shooting in Minneapolis is making Glenn Greenwald hate Republicans again.
Looks like @apnews.com still isn’t afraid to throw some shade at Dear Leader. Screenshot of their home page coverage of Trump’s press conference on Venezuela:
The Brooklyn babka has arrived in SoCal! One of my 2025 highlights was winning this yummy babka in the #elections prediction contest put on by @the-downballot.com! #uspoli If you want one in 2026, subscribe, educate yourself about downballot elections and see if you can win: www.the-downballot.com
Did #wordle choose a Welsh word today? I need someone to help me make sense of this…
An amusing exchange between @gallego.senate.gov and a MAGA diehard on Twitter, regarding the Indiana redistricting mess... #azpol #inpol #MAGAFail
