I copied the lighting from Odin Sphere, if you ever played it, but the atmosphere is so compatible with my usual rendering style it just works in seamlessly
Gunslinger Girl - completed I don't recall the last time a manga ending make me feel so empty yet fulfilled. There is bittersweet succinct conclusion for nearly everyone - even the villains. I haven't read/watch many guns girls stuff but this is like the best I've seen the idea explored so far.
