Just updated my golds comparison to the goal times and my sub-2:50 practice tier list!
Yesterday I got sub-3 in Lego Star Wars TCS Any%! I've only done a first or second pass on all the levels so I think I'll do some more practice before my next runs. It's been a really fun last 2 months learning and improving at something new, and I'm still having fun, so no plans to stop now!
Been a minute since my last Lego Star Wars post, last couple streams I practiced 6-6, Into the Death Star, which was one of my worst levels, and I improved it by literally 2 minutes: 7:32 (in my 3:16 PB) -> 5:31 Goal time for sub-3:00 is 6:50, this hits the sub-2:30 goal time! Live 4 more prac :O
I just wanna thank everyone for watching and supporting MARIO NEWS! After the first 4 weekly episodes got decreasing viewership, I debated if it was worth it. But I put more effort into the videos (and titles+thumbnails), and now I can see it getting traction! More to come :D
YouTube's AI can recommend me speedrunning youtube video concepts and they almost make sense I kinda hate it
Chimkin and I just commentated an INSANE Ladder League race of Lego Star Wars, Olive had a huge mistake and was behind by 2+ minutes while Wytew and ChessWiz traded the lead back and forth but they both struggled in the endgame and Olive won it! 🤯 Really cool tournament, check out ladderleague.run

BIG 3RD RUN PB 3:16!!! This felt really satisfying and now I think I have a good baseline to start practicing for sub 3! Ty ChessWiz for the raid!
2nd LEGO Star Wars run done, 3:37! Its so late im so tired but thanks everyone for the support and the TCS community has been really awesome, thank you @cheese05.bsky.social and Scynor for the raids! Tomorrow I'll do some practice and my 3rd run for sub-3:30 hopefully!
Well I finally did my first Lego Star Wars TCS speedrun! Took a ~15 minute suigi break as he got a new 120 star record halfway through :P Some things went better than expected, some went worse, but it was fun and I'm gonna try to do another run tomorrow! Will beat this ezpz :D
I'm thinking of using Lakitu as the mascot for Mario News and "Lakitu Zip" as the name. Other rhymes with "Lakitu Skip": Snip, Quip, Clip, Blip, etc. Is it a good idea, does it suck, does anyone have other ideas? Let me know, I'm open to suggestions.
