Well this is an unfortunate acknowledgements page at the start of this book. Published in 2019, but still...
So much of it is devolved into lifestyle promotion and branding. Like going to a book club and everyone just talks about how much they love books and the smell and sounds of libraries, but they don't read.
In addition to listing my regularly used items, this post inspired me to think a bit, and the oldest item I believe I have (other than maybe some rocks and fossils) is a copy of Dickens' Bleak House, published in 1873. I acquired it only in the last couple of years, not an heirloom or anything.

I agree that it's a terrible thing, but I once again must point out that the minting of billionaires and, now, a trillionaire is a resounding success for our public policy and government. This has been the goal since at least 1980. This alternate framing is important.

I've developed a new routine that incorporates barbell and dumbbell across four different lifting days, alternating upper body and legs. Maybe one or two details to fix, but I think it's decent.

Weekend mornings, before the kids get up, it's project time. This morning I'm continuing to compile fact sheets from my notes on intragalactic scale features. Many sources differ at least a bit on fundamental characteristics of these features, trying to sort them all out this way.
Proposed mechanism for two-stage star formation in young globular clusters. Fast rotating massive stars (FRMS) form toward the center, strong stellar winds disrupt infalling gas, FRMS lose mass from equators, forms disk, and the disk creates a shaded region where smaller 2nd gen stars form.

Started tracking the status of my project more formally. Doing well, and I'm getting more consistent in my efforts despite free time plummeting over the last year.
Season 2 of Danger 5 is season purist and arguably theme neutral (alternatively, theme rebel). Every episode takes place on Christmas Day and at least some of the team become better people by the end, or at least more accepting of themselves. And above all else, they kill Hitler.
