30yo Engineer and Author - She/Her Profile pic by my beloved sparklenaut.bsky.social!! Check out our comics together! I also post a lot of mini painting!
Okay I had more free tim than expected today so I finished my plans for the diorama!! Yeah its a bit clumsy and unpolished, but it gives me a good starting point cos now I know how big it'll be and where its all gonna go! Lots of info in the alt text btw!
Finally returning to some Signalis mini work after a million years! After my last attempt left me disappointed, I went ahead and commissioned an Elster from the amazing @mediarhoades.bsky.social!!! I just finished printing yesterday, and now im planning the full diorama I have in mind! #signalis
Had another go at Starchaser! I've really developed my skills drawing lately, and I feel like I managed to get much closer to an accurate design of a fictional aircraft. So much fun!! Check out @sparklenaut.bsky.social for more awesome lesbian pilot action!!
Also Sparkle rejected my alternative colour schemes so for clout's sake I ask you all: which one looks cooler? Yellow, red or orange?
If I wanted to put a giant shield generator on a dinosaur as a huge seraphon diorama, do you think I should have it front-back, or side-to-side? #warhammer #ageofsigmar #seraphon
Update on my stegadon labour of love!! Got around to making her base at long last - i hand-cut a sheet of 2mm plastic into this pattern i designed, intended to look like some kind of ruined star-map paved into an ancient city. Not 100% happy with it, but almost none of it is actually visible lol
Truly the only legitimate way to listen to the Signalis soundtrack (I cant believe i dont have ANY other CD players in my apartment wtf)
Managed to secure a full week off work, so I've spent the last couple days as a housewife This evening I'm soupin'
Finished my #Warhammer Kro-Jax!! Seriously such a gorgeous sculpt, a real joy to paint. One day I'll finish my combat patrol I swear #seraphon #ageofsigmar
Omg it's been a while, but I finally got some painting done!! I've been working on my Kro-Jax a lil over the past couple days, and I'm really pleased so have a WIP! Instead of albinism, I decided to make her rly weathered and pale, like she's extremely old. Also, 2nd time trying NMM!! #Warhammer
It's beautiful... I kinda wish I had a record player, but this is an amazing close second!! Glad I picked up the signalis soundtrack while I could!!
Bet you couldn't even tell the bolt another bottom had 10cm cut off the end huh Also behold my beautiful stainless steel
Also cos I was photographing them both, here's Elster catching a ride on my stegadon lol #Signalis
A long-awaited but small update on my #signalis Elster diorama! I didn't touch it for a few months bc I was pretty unhappy with the quality of my sculpting, I lacked both tools and experience But I got some super fine-grit sandpaper and smoothed out my mistakes on the legs/chest and repainted!
As a little add-on, I posed her next to my other finished seraphim minis!
Update on my classic stegadon! Still really pleased with the albino skin, but I also made good progress on the fabric and the framework on the back! Lots to do, but the animal itself is nearly finished! I think the base will try to look ornate without much ruin, but that's still to be decided!
Classic stegadon WIP! After sage advice from @sparklenaut.bsky.social I decided to make it an albino! I wanted to make this a venerable old beastie, not just worshipped but loved by its handlers Bc it's like half the size of an AoS steg, I'll be playing this on the table as a spawn of chotec
While waiting for milliputt to set on my classic stegadon project, I decided to repaint an old skink priest I liberated from my childhood home!! Honestly this has to be one of my all time favourite minis and def my favourite old lizardmen mini, it's so cute and characterful! New colour scheme too~
Last night and this morning I began remaking new armour and skirting for my beloved steggy. In keeping with the spirit of things I used exclusively old bits from my lizardmen/stegadon kits to make the armour. The skirts are milliputt, and look a little less shitty in person.
Next was removing the old paint! Anyone familiar with GW's old metal minis knows how hard they were to paint, and 10 yo me didn't know about primer, so I instead employed industrial quantities of paint This caused issues with removal, but should be good enough to paint over
First thing I did was remove the old armour/skirting and the "altar"... all of it was, of course, modelled from sparkly gold fimo (oven-bake clay) It did crumble a bit, but tbh it's not the end of the world bc I'm not planning to reuse any of it
Secured this classic metal stegadon from my childhood home!! I'd modelled it based off a gorgeous stegadon kitbash from the old lizardmen collector's guide, and was extremely proud of it at the time as my first freehand These days... I'm more critical lol So I've decided to revamp it! #warhammer
Going away for a couple weeks so I couldn't finish my saurus, but here's a WIP! Seeing as I wasn't using the scar vet shield and I adore it, I gave it to the champion instead. She's more painted than the rest, and I'm really happy with the gemstone effect on the weapon!
Finished my kroxies!! At some point I'll probably give them individual names, but for now I'm just happy to move onto my saurus! #warhammer #AgeofSigmar
Painted more of my kroxigor!! Absolutely love these chunky butch beefcakes, they have such fun shapes and are a real joy to paint! Next update will probably be the finished minis!
Back to my Seraphon with a kroxigor WIP!!! It's subtly different to my saurus, but probably not so as you'd notice lol
