I make fancy kitchens and wardrobes and stuff, but mostly post a load of old rubbish www.themoderncarpenter.com
Honestly, one of the best things in the world is bumblebees going into snapdragons. Look at its fluffy little bum re-emerging!
Absolutely can recommend. @gemmatrickey.bsky.social and friends on the carve at Fforest in Cardigan a few years back
I’d take a food that simply doesn’t look like I’m squeezing another cat’s brains onto the plate tbh
See I’m just making meatball sandwiches this minute and took the decision to slice the bolls up, so is this really a meatball sandwich or is it something… other? A meatdisc sandwich?
The modern pylons also look.. a lot nicer! These are the ones we've got in Somerset bringing the juice up from Hinkley
Full moon rising above axbridge in Somerset. Glastonbury tor is visible, more or less, on the horizon
I’ll admit it wasn’t this year but this was certainly surprising to find on a mendip hillside
Bit of workshop catchup for next week’s install - it’s nice and cool in here. But there’s nothing like doing your mirror mitres to reveal your middle aged melting face
A little bit of calm - this very bold Robin fledgling enjoyed me doing a bit of planting and stirring up insects. Hope he’s not TOO bold, there’s a few cats regularly in the garden.
Ok this is the photo I should’ve posted last night, not the blurry one. Blame post-ride pints. King John looking out over a dramatic sky and full moon in Axbridge town square
Always reminds me of the situation we’ve had over and over again with senior parliamentarians in the UK
Just in case, went out for a ride in the woods, had a quick pint with a pal and came home to loving wife and best cat friend
Dirty martini with spicy olives. And a cocktail umbrella, because if the world’s going to be on fire I’m damn well having a cocktail umbrella.
Saw these guys yesterday, they asked me if I knew famous author Tom Cox, and could I get them his autograph
I made us a new coffee table this week from old project leftovers and offcuts, and a knackered old plan chest. I rather like it. #woodworking
Monkey was looking *fierce* today in the late afternoon sunshine. He’s not much of an outside during the day boy, so we have a bit of a play when he fancies some garden time with us.
If you know where to look, there’s some hot, hot toad action out there at the moment
Absolute in cred ible place, all those period features! Did a double take though, one of the fireplaces looks really like one of mine (pretty sure mine’s not original, most be a Victorian or Edwardian addition)
