“From Dallas, Texas, the flash apparently official, General Mbappe went out of the World Cup at 4 p.m. Central Standard Time - 5 o'clock Eastern Standard Time.”
First time I’ve seen QOTSA since they, for some reason, played in the town I was born in and got this great footnote on setlist for that gig. Yes they did turn the speakers off, I was at the front though where the amps were still on.
My Chemical Romance at Wembley last night. The whole of The Black Parade performed in order on its 20th anniversary on the main stage. Then a best of the rest encore at the stage near where me and my brother were stood. Great show.
Completely forgot to add that Wolf Alice were great, wanted to see them for a while. I really loved the Death Star sized Disco Ball they had. For the Chelsea lot that follow me Ellie the lead singer/guitarist is one of us (it’s not important who the rest of the band support).
Just been delivered. A revelation in 2012 and my first exposure to Kendrick.
Said last week about Kendrick almost being in a competition with himself for best hip-hop album of the 2010s, but this is definitely amongst them. The start of Tyler’s run of really great records, not like anything he’d made before.
Turned 40 on Tuesday. Always amazed with the quality of what they released given how short lived they were as a band. Moz and Marr had lightning in a bottle songwriting and this is probably my favourite of their records.
I did buy some new records on Wednesday. A classic album, some of their greatest songs exist on this thing. I can’t wait to see this band in two weeks at a Championship ground.
Saw Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre last night. I’d not seen the stage show before (only the film that came out about 15 years ago) but it was fantastic.
