I dragged up as Chappell Roan for Folkestone Pride weekend. It was glorious!

It’s me, a tall, thicc non-binary person standing in front of a bar pointing in the air whilst lip-syncing to Chappell Roan. I have a long beard, I’m wearing blue eyeshadow, red lipstick and a long burgundy wig. I have on a deep pink leotard with diamanté tassels, denim hot-pants and red fishnet tights. There are pride flags along the top of the bar and peeping in at the top of the frame.

It’s me again, I’m now on top of the bar on all fours, staring down the camera. My wig is hanging down in front of half my face, you can see down my top and one of my cowboy boots is visible between my legs. Behind me is a projector screen which reads “THE QUEER SHOP FUNDRAISER FI[nale]”

It’s me again in front of the bar, now joined by Aimée as George Michael and Ayden as Hung Up era Madonna. Aimée is centre frame wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. She has on a George Michael wig and painted on beard. The print on her t-shirt reads ‘CHOOSE LIFE FOR TRANS KIDS!’ Ayden is on the left wearing a pink leotard with black briefs, pink fishnet gloves and purple fishnet stockings with a pearl necklace. He has short brown hair and a brown moustache. We are all loudly singing along with Freedom by George Michael.

As a money saving measure we’ve recently stopped getting Sainsbury’s deliveries and I’ve started doing a weekly shop at Lidl. Purely to entertain myself I’ve given each shopping list a pun name…

Fun* fact, when my wife and I moved in together and consolidated our music collections I discovered that she had the US cope of Odelay and I had the UK one. She has no idea why this is, she has never lived in the US and only visited a couple of times. Obviously we’ve kept both copies. *YMMV

Two CD copies of Odelay. The bottom one has a hype sticker that reads “CONTAINS INTERNATIONAL ONLY BONUS TRACK”

The reverse of the two CDs. Whilst similar the back contains a number of differences, most notably the bottom one features a 14th track entitled Diskobox which the top one does not.

Extremely strong 'John Belushi: America's Guest' vibes.

Blues Brothers co-star Aykroyd dubbed his friend 'America's Guest', often telling the story of how Belushi went missing one night during filming, only to be found asleep on the couch of a house nearby.

The actor had walked in, raided the fridge, and crashed out, with the home owner seemingly delighted that the comedian had come to visit.

“He could go anywhere” he revealed in an interview with American radio station Sirius XM. “Everybody loved John, because he was a classic Illinois Alpha Male”.
