*trying to write a silly happy fic but forgot one of the plot points is a character they like's death* *crying while trying to continue writing*

Eugene’s health started to decline further, the bitter reality that both androids knew would come but acceptance doesn’t always make it hurt less; and losing someone you grew to care for and consider family was never easy. All his affairs were in order, ducks in a row, and the old fisherman had nothing to fear as he approached his death. Though much to Sun and Moon’s surprise, the previous keeper seemed to have one regret.

Some days Eugene’s mind just didn’t seem all there, the caretakers just thinking it was delusions of pain medicine and old age, but he’d recount tales of his youth and of the best friend he ever made–confirming that yes, he was better friends with them than he was with Moon when the lunar droid would tease–the Sea Angel.

The two androids were long accustomed to stories of the Sea Angel by now, the mythical deity of the sea outside their door, just as beautiful as they were powerful, and just as kind and caring about everyone on the island they protect. Eugene would often babble without realizing about how much he regrets keeping his promise, how he wished he could just introduce them; not leave them to be alone again once he passes.

And on his deathbed, he asked the two caretakers to promise him that if they ever did meet his Sea Angel, to please be their friend, he’s sure they could use one.

There's a tumblr for the chapter length, but in the meantime another snippet tease! trying not to make this fic explicit but still couldn't help myself to drop in a breeding kink 😔 If only the boys had a strong magical friend who is capable of bending the laws of nature... if only... what shame...

“Moonie?” Sun whispers, peeking up from his hiding spot, his voice hesitant, mixed with some anxious concern as he feels the way his husband's machinery starts to overwork itself. “W-we wouldn’t have-”

“Yes!” Moon is quick to interrupt him, jolting and adjusting his body to turn fully towards Sun and smack his hands against Sun’s cheeks to hold him still and force proper eye contact. “I’m interested, oh fuck am I interested.” He growls into his loves lips with renewed passion. “In fact, we should start right now.” He mumbles the words through presses of his mouth to Sun’s in quick kisses that make the solar android giggle.

“I love your enthusiasm Moonie, truly,” Sun chirps between laughs and kisses, “But there’s more that needs done before we could get to that, namely I don’t have the parts-”

“We won’t know unless we try right?” Moon interjects, as if his wanting would somehow be enough on its own to fulfill his fantasy and desire of knocking up his husband.

“I think we just did plenty of trying! In fact I feel like both our tanks are out right now because of it.” Sun continues with merry snickers as the wind chimes ring out alongside him. “How about a walk along the shore to cool off?” Sun offers up instead.

about 2k words into The Lighthouse Keeper's Keepers' next chapter! So here's a lil suggestive teaser of what the newlywed androids are up to

text reads:

“While I’m glad you at least grabbed a life jacket before running after Lee it was still dangerous, even if we don’t need to breathe!” Sun pouts, losing a lot of its intended weight in his state of undress; though he has to give some props to Moon for not constantly losing eye contact more than the one time.

“Sunny, I couldn’t just risk losing her-” He starts but gets interrupted as Sun shuffles through a drawer before popping back around to face him.

“I know, which is why I’m only going to punish you a little bit by doing something risky of my own.” Sun flushes and bites his bottom lip before he shows off the silky bedroom restraints he pulled out. “Just to help remind you of what you might lose if you keep being too risky all the time.”

Moon doesn’t even voice a reply back, just immediately works on shuffling out of his own clothes as quickly as possible as Sun tries not to giggle too much at how eager his husband is for his “punishment”.

“Good,” Sun teases, “Now on the bed and stay still for me Moonie~”

Also rediscovered some of the rough concept doodles for Fazrule XD Hyliay/n being all cute songbird in the trees with some koroks and then me trying to decide Eclipse's fins XD Kind of glad i didn't stick to that first idea
