This year's inspiration might be familiar to some comics readers and more Kirbyheads. A transcendent being of the cosmos, surrounded by the crackle and particles of space, ushering his faithful beings to go forth, airing trumpets, but there's an almost inscrutable melancholy to this central figure.

A bit overdue on my part, but the result is ambitious and SO striking, @lieutenantv.bsky.social readily rising up to the challenge with their nuanced expression work and stark shading, charting their course after last year's Pride avatar!! If you commission them, they will never disappoint you. 👏

My favorite part of DISCO ELYSIUM is all the quotes I look at and that it's not JUST the Kras Mazov bit, which would be depressingly realistic, but also stuff like the above. My favorite part of playing it, though, was dying in the first few choices of the game.
