It’s a terrible pic cos of direct sunlight but - just saying- this is the first time EVER our name’s been in lights. AND we are sold out. It’s a good feeling.

Asknish Bay on the Arduaine peninsula, Argyllshire, today, 21 April…..I heard a cuckoo as I had a swim here … we sat on the terrace till quarter to eight in the beautiful sunshine.
When the grandkids come to stay and decorate the gingerbread people and, completely unprompted, take great care to ensure diversity of representation including devil angels. Proud grandma.
Sadly there was no sunrise to be seen in Scarborough this morning when I went for my morning swim. So here’s one from earlier this week ….

The world may be falling apart at the seams but here are the roses in our garden loving the sunshine … Albertine, Charles Darwin, Paul’s Himalayan Musk all over the apple tree and my fave Gertrude Jekyll. Wish I could make this post scratch’n’sniff.
