Got this book on my vacation out of town and ended up finishing it on the final plane ride home. It was pretty good! I loved the imagery and sequences the writing evoked a lot, and the premise is both fun, unique, and whimsical in a way I really enjoyed.

A little WIP preview. I'm working on a creature design I've been tinkering with since April 1st - it's meant to be a harpy-basilisk... a harpilisk, if you will. It's fun to do and I feel like I'm nearing the end of figuring out it's design! Just need to add clothing accessories.

Jet has cool-toned black hair, pale skin, many moles on his body, tattoos, and scars. He has heterochromia too, with his left eye being an icy blue and his right a dark- almost black blue. His character design sheet shows him with one outfit in multiple forms, and a version where he has black raven-liek wings and one where he has doll nudity to show his tattoos, scars, and mole map.

His outfit is a black leather jacket with tan faux fur, a white t-shirt, black belt, black distressed jeans, and black boots with yellow and purple laces. He's also wearing an octagon obsidian necklace and a coffin nail necklace. He has multiple ear piercings, and a hoop eyebrow piercing.
