I'm so honored and thrilled to share that I've accepted a position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Theological Ethics at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. We'll be moving to the Quad Cities in a few weeks. I couldn't be more excited to be back in the classroom and working with students again!

And if you can manage it, find a supervisor who will stand in the gap for you, who saves your butt when you are in trouble, who takes a metaphorical bullet for you, and who offers you her robes when you run into a doctoral robe crisis (catch me in some Vanderbilt stolen valor).
She should be someone who makes even mundane conversations inspiring, who can recognize the best in what you are trying to say, and who conducts herself in a way that makes you believe that academia can be better.
If you're going to do a PhD, you must pick a supervisor who believes in you, your ideas, and your potential to grow.

I'm so grateful to my committee: Tom Reynolds, Simon Coleman, Willie Jennings, and Valentina Napolitano, and especially my supervisor Natalie Wigg-Stevenson. And the biggest thank you to Blakeley for all her support, and making it possible for me to finish this process. I'm so happy to be Ph.Done!
Yesterday I defended my dissertation and I am excited to share that I passed without revisions! This was truly a high point in my academic career and such a fun experience engaging deeply with brilliant scholars over my work.
