Word is that everything is in order for this special issue of the Revista Portuguesa de Filosofia to come out tomorrow! My article "Who Knows? On Schelling's Monism" is one of the contributions. I'm excited to see what else is included.

"Rituals of Shame" captures something of "Watching from a Distance" I didn't think would be possible. On first listen one says "sure, that's a Warning album", but then something of it get stuck inside your brain. Eventually you will find yourself listening to it on repeat.
Hell yeah. "Through Zero" (2026) by Elder. Psych/Prog/Stoner metal (what do genres even mean at this point???) Serious contender for album of the year. Check it out if you haven't yet.
Trying to explain to the Boy what an "air quality index" is and why fires in Canada are keeping us from going on our nightly trip to the graveyard. Also trying to explain what a "Canada" is. He's not buying any of it.
Hell yeah. "Quietly" (2008) by Mouth of the Architect. Post-Metal, for fans of Isis (the band you weirdos).
Haven't bid on Ebay in a while, but I just won a signed copy of SUMACS's 2016 "What One Becomes". Pretty cool.
Hajime Tanabe's "Philosophy as Metanoetics" finally arrived. I can't help but think how interesting it would be to do a class on the preface and chapter 1 in the contemporary US context. "in the last analysis, everyone is responsible, collectively, for social affairs" (60).

I decided to start climbing again this summer. I bring a book so I can get some work done (and give my arms a rest). Really great decision. Shout out to Philadelphia Rock Gyms in East Falls. Awesome space, great route setters, so much bouldering.

Hell yeah. The new Neurosis album "An Undying Love For A Burning World" officially comes out on vinyl tomorrow. It sounds great. #vinyl #nowspinning
Looks like I won't be seeing vianova this Friday. Can't justify buying an overpriced resale ticket just to see the opening act. However, if tickets are still available in your area you need to check out this band.
