#1 The Lonesome Crowded West If my first Modest Mouse album changed how I saw music, I think this changed how I saw the world. Or it at least put a sound to questions I already had. How you can look at life around you and simultaneously feel sad, angry, and detached, yet still find a beauty in it.
#3 Good News for People Who Love Bad News No way to look at this album objectively for me. This album introduced me to the band that would change my appreciation for music forever. What's funny is Float On became the main hit, and it's probably not even in my top 10 songs from this album.
#4 This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About While We Were Dead is likely a more well-rounded album...I think every Modest Mouse fan has periods where they throw THIS album on and just let it take them on a ride. This is where "interesting" beats polish for me.
#5 We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank I went back and forth with this and Strangers, but this album (although overplayed when it came out) is really strong. I think Fire It Up is the weakest song on it...and that's still a jam. Spitting Venom is also a masterpiece, and their best live song.
#6 Strangers to Ourselves Despite being ranked on the lower end for me, I think this album is underappreciated. Now, I won't pretend to enjoy Pistol. I will not. I hate that song in fact. But it has a lot of songs that are home runs for me. Shit in Your Cut, Pups to Dust, Coyotes, for example.
(Keeping this just to the main albums, so not going to dive into the EPs and compilation/re-release stuff) #8 is the Golden Casket. The songs I really like on it seem to take some time to find their peak, and the majority of the album is just alright to me. Not bad, but nothing super impactful.
*Majora's mask moon crashing down to wreck the world's shit.* Me, losing at a chicken race or some shit:
I'm not sure exactly when they stopped, but the A's aren't doing the creepy elephant mask home run celebration that served them so well at the start of the year. They have been playing dogshit for like 2 and a half months now. Bring the fucker back.
*Snake voice* In 1948, Mountain Dew was established. Countries began developing their military capabilities at an accelerated rate to claim it. This marked the beginning of an era known as the Cold War.
Me after 87 straight days of posting "More like Bitch McConnell" hoping for that one repost that'll fill my soul.
Now, if I'm kicking a soccer ball with my mates. And you and your mates try to stop me and my mates from doing so...I should be able to kick the shit out of you for that.
It's pretty troubling that every time I get pathetically drunk my takeaway from it is, "oh, I get alcoholism now."
Sometimes you make a drunk purchase that arrives like two months later and feels like the start of a creepypasta. And that's okay. I've learned to love and accept myself for my faults.
"You know what the best part of my day is? It's for about ten seconds from when I pull up to the curb to when I get to your door. Because I think maybe I'll get up there and I'll knock on the door and you won't be there. And then I'll get to hunt you."
I've practiced guitar every day since I got one last Christmas. So 127 days streak so far. Don't really have a joke for this. Just pretty proud of how I've stuck with it.

Be careful, Snake. This facility is guarded by one of their operatives, Kung-Fu Panda. He's just a guy who watched that movie once and he's an actual dipshit.
Became a weird Tapatio-on-eggs guy. Tried to explain to my wife but she CAN'T STAND THE SIGHT OF ME!
Now Bungie has been doing weird fucking shit since Destiny 1 to make content as inaccessible as possible, so I think they're just being weird again. But if the dwindling player population of Marathon just can't support 5 maps running at once...well, that ain't good.
