It seems like so many people all around me are absolutely loving the Dungeon Crawler Carl series but every new thing I hear about it makes it seem less appealing than before. Right off the bat, this sounds *insufferable*.
Noteworthy that not just the Bernie-backed progressive but the DSA-opposed "centrist" are calling for ICE to be dismantled #mepolitics
TheStoryGraph reading challenge: "A Young Adult Novel by a Latinx Author". Second book added by users: Book 2 of Southern Reach by Jeff VanderMeer. Why even do the reading challenge if you're just gonna put whatever?
Wild that a publication that is constantly stirring up old Red Scare stuff about the left-wing candidates winning all over would argue that the Democratic Party is not "litigat[ing] what the party actually believes" this cycle.
A lot of the commentary here may be missing that Serrano set the "passing" number to 40 for the test. I think that's not the main focus of the discussion here but it's notable. S22 passed, for example.
Screencapping because I'm not trying to dunk on the author but it is fascinating to me that the person appears to think the latter statement doesn't sound absolutely bloodcurdling
Yeah honestly if I were a Belgian fan I would be piiiiiiiissed, even more so now.
Absolutely not. Purple was one of the easiest, green was the most obscure???
Ohhh it turns out there's another level to score! - purple first - hub first - hardest to easiest 🟪🟦🟩🟨
Just when you didn't think they could, they invented a new Type of Guy
I enjoyed Connections but won't play NYT games for obvious reasons so I'm happy to have found this. www.hankgreen.com/fourbythree
Not a counterargument at all bc I'm sure that's true but also Luna is an incredibly popular name right now so "otherwise strange" is just wrong www.behindthename.com/name/luna/to...
ppl logging into X, the White Nationalism Everything Site™: "I know Elon actively manipulating this site to promote murderous ideologies, but I'm built different. I'm immune to the effects."
lol. "Nearly 40% of signature gatherers for Maine trans athlete ballot question were from out of state" themainemonitor.org/out-of-state...
There … there's actually a very clear, direct, and simple way to answer that question. "No." I think he's thinking of the rhetorical hypothetical of "have you stopped [doing that]?" which is hard to answer clearly with "yes" or "no" but still pretty easy to answer
But never mind that Gen X voted in the largest numbers for Trump, they're also just completely insufferable and solipsistic, while loudly proclaiming themselves to be the opposite. "OG stuff, 80's baby stuff" bro Sesame Street started in 1969 and had celebrity guests in 1970
I really like TypeScript, but sometimes it (and by it, I mean the external libraries that use it) makes you do silly things
Hey @grahamformaine.bsky.social this is stupid. Our reliance on fossil fuels is crippling and destructive and the solution is not incentivizing an increase in its usage while removing a source of federal revenue at a time it's needed
