This time last week I was hiking in Dogtown, Gloucester, MA. Olson’s in hand looking for the James Merry boulders. I found them. Longer post incoming once I’ve got my thoughts in order.
To Gloucester! NYC to Boston by Amtrak, then Uber to Gloucester. An auspicious rainbow arrival to my Olson pilgrimage. It’s so weird and incredible being HERE.
Thanks for the tipoff @harrysword.bsky.social Harry, they’re brilliant. He’s totally mad and hilarious with it. Fantastic.
An uplifting beautiful night at the Barbican with Dego & 2000Black meets Theo Parrish & Sound Signature Voices. Fantastic.
A morning spent marking MA case studies followed by a glorious swim and a cold beer (well two)
Various cursed images from the hotel we stayed in on Saturday night. You’re welcome.
Since moving to London nearly 15 years ago. I have a great affection for the river Fleet. Whether swimming in the waters at the pond, or tracing her path through the city and culture. Here’s one of the few spots below the Heath where she’s both visible and audible. Outside the Prince Albert. Camden
Kathryn Tickell and her amazing band The Darkness at Cecil Sharp House tonight. ❤️
A lovely evening in the company of Eliza Carthy, Nick Hart, Angeline Morrison, Graham Coxon, Jon Wilks, Gwena Harman and Rowan Gatherer, and Finn Curran-Carthy. Playing the songs of Martin Carthy who sadly is now unable to travel to perform.
Glorious swim day and a chilly but pleasant 8C in the water. Warm in the sun afterwards.
