Emily Berge for Congress, Wisconsin's 3rd District Mom, mental health counselor, and Eau Claire City Council President Donate at Authorized by Berge for Congress
This campaign is not powered by Washington. It is powered by people willing to knock doors, make calls, talk to neighbors, and help choose a nominee rooted in this district.
Pittsville ~ The center of Wisconsin (literally) Wood County Dems had a full house! And I was so grateful that it was held indoors with this heat 🥵 Thank you to Wood County Dems for hosting a great event!
My commitment to service did not begin with this campaign. It has shaped my work as a counselor, as a public servant, and as someone who believes government should help people, not serve the well-connected.
Jackson County ~ Sundae on the Farm No waffles and ice cream BUT grilled cheese, cheese curds, and ice cream sundaes! Had a great morning walking around with Rodney Rave and Stephanie Stuve-Bodeen (Assembly Candidate for BRF area).
A day in the life of a Congressional Candidate (at least a grassroots one): Chippewa Co: Northern WI State Fair 🎡 River Falls: Backyard meet and greet 🏠 Eau Claire: Downtown Meet and greet 🏙 And finished the day on National Television 📺
I am thrilled about this endorsement! I have seen first hand the work that Citizen Action has done in local communities. They don't just show up for elections; they work year round on issues impacting regular people. Thank you, Citizen Action for your endorsement!
Viroqua! You showed up! We had about 120 people show up on Tuesday at the VFW in Viroqua. It was such a wonderful evening!! Good music, good food, and good people. It's essential we keep this energy going through November. Vote Berge on Aug 11th. 📸: Drew Shonka
Augusta ~ Bean and Bacon Days It was a perfect July day in Augusta! As I always say, it matters to show up everywhere. People were so appreciative that we were there!
Eau Claire officially opened its newest park with a bang! It's so cool to see your votes, decisions, and priorities come to fruition. We ended the 4th of July at a friend's house which included an epic game of Kubb and fireworks. Such a good day celebrating our country with good people.
Thank you to WI-03 Indivisible Coalition for your endorsement! Together we are building a movement to stand up for the people of Western and Central Wisconsin. Onward! And If you would like to support this people powered movement, donate here: secure.actblue.com/donate/berge...
I’m not asking voters to guess what kind of representative I would be. I’ve already had to lead in public, make real decisions, and stay accountable to the community I serve. That is the kind of proven, local leadership I’ll bring to Congress.
Where will Berge be this week?? Tuesday July 7th - Viroqua, Vernon Co Wednesday July 8th - Wilton, Monroe Co Friday July 10th - River Falls, Pierce Co Email contact@bergeforcongress.com for more info. See you out there!
People over profits is more than a slogan. It is the standard I’m bringing to this race. I’ve never accepted corporate PAC money, and I never will, because this campaign is about regular people and local communities, not powerful interests looking for influence.
Boogie with Berge! Join Emily Berge, Uncommon Denominator, and Gaff Mountain and let's get out the vote for the Aug 11th Primary! July 30th * 6pm * The Plus volumeonetickets.org/e/bergetheplus
Pigeon Falls; pop 381 What a crowd in Pigeon tonight! We have spent the last 15 months showing up in all the places, big and small, because it is important to me to show you all how I will lead in Congress.
I was honored to be the featured speaker at Rep. Tara Johnson's birthday party in La Crosse last night. It's easy to speak of Tara's strong leadership. People can SAY what they will do, but you need to look at their actions. Tara has demonstrated how to show up for community.
Stopped by the Vernon County Holstein Show last night and early this morning. I had good conversations with folks. I continue to hear the difficult path for small farms and dairies. It is especially difficult for them to get off the ground.
The Berge campaign has Wisconsin Hardy Volunteers! Volunteers from Portage Co, Dunn Co, Juneau Co and Eau Claire Co all met me in Alma Center to walk in the Stawberry Festival Parade...and in the pouring rain! And then a few of us enjoyed charcoal chicken at the VFW.
As usual, I had great conversations canvassing. The first person I talked with said he prints my campaign literature at our local print shop, Johnson Litho. AND THEN, I was talking to a person a few blocks over and he told me he prints our Berge shirts at Ambient Inks. Amazing!
Last night was exactly what a people-powered campaign is supposed to feel like!Thank you to everyone who joined us in Eau Claire for an evening in support of our campaign. We are so grateful for the generosity, energy, and commitment of this community.
Parades bring communities together! We had a great time at the Cranberry Blossom Fest parade in Wisconsin Rapids. And superstar volunteers Gary and Amanda hit up Lake Martha Days in Osseo. This grassroots campaign is trying to be everywhere, all at once!
On a stormy evening last week, I held a town hall in Chippewa County - the very top of the 3rd CD. There were numerous questions ranging from healthcare to the constitution to big money in politics. We also talked about how me being a mental health provider sets me apart from other candidates.
Headed down to beautiful Crawford County this evening to speak to the local Crawford County Dems. I gave my stump speech to the full room.
From the Co-op to the yarn store to downtown businesses, Stevens Point has a bustling small business scene! Whether a book store, coffee shop, bike shop, or knitting group, these small businesses bring people together to build community.
La Crosse! A great evening visiting with La Crosse folks at their County Dem Picnic. I was a bit late because I also swung by the Ho-Chunk Nation's Legislative area meeting which was also tonight. Lots of good questions for me at their meeting!
Eau Claire County Dairy Breakfast in Augusta 🥛 The lines were long but it was worth it. Pancakes, sausage, cheese curds, ice cream and milk! Friendly conversations and friendly cows. Also, can anyone guess what I learned to do?? (look at last photo)... 🐄
A lot of times, people will ask "Where are the young people?". I always say you have to meet them where they are! After my conversation with Olivia and Addison, I am reminded that young people are paying attention, well informed, and are committed to making our a world a better place.
So many great conversations last night. I always try to talk to every single person in the room. I am so appreciative that people took time out of their busy lives and will drive from other cities or counties to attend my events.
Mark your calendars - Saturday, June 20th we will have three simultaneous canvass launches in Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Stevens Point! Never canvassed before? No problem! We will be sure you get a brief training and a buddy (if you want) so you feel confident hitting the pavement.
