When you give your name over the phone and they don’t ask how to spell it.
Just over a decade ago, my dad sent me this video from the street I grew up on in Fort McMurray. It felt apocalyptic then, & collectively our leaders said “fuck it, let’s make it worse” & look at us now. Bonus: if you listen carefully you can hear my mom yelling to stop filming & get in the car
This person has the strongest shoulders I’ve ever seen. I think my arm would rip right off.
The first vette with the double headlights always lives in my head rent free.
Aside from the obvious privacy issues involved there, the legislation also smooths the process of sharing that data with foreign governments including the US. The language here is intentionally vague. This is a sweeping surveillance bill.
This seems wildly reactionary. Jake Evans is centring the second line, this Canadiens team is not a finished product by any means. Getting this far was unlikely in the first place. Carolina is a better team right now, I don’t think anyone rational would disagree. Belief under attack? Please.
I believe the technical term for this is 'An ass kicking'. #GoHabsGo

Like c’mon. Showing this clip on TV and calling it a body check is basically pissing on someone’s shoes and saying it’s raining.

Kinda wild that the PWHL has tracked data displayed like this on their game summaries pages. The NHL's game summaries are not nearly as exhaustive.
Outdated now, but this is one of my favourite infographics Statistics Canada has ever produced. Combined government spending from federal, provincial, and municipal governments and where it goes per capita. We spend more on policing than housing and the environment combined.
Yesterday on @thegameovernetwork.com discord, @giesbrechta.bsky.social asked if the tiny amount of time the Habs have trailed in the series impacted the officiating, so I dug into it and found some interesting stuff Read: www.habseyesontheprize.com/canadiens-li...
