LFC through thick & slightly less thick since ‘76. Positive thinker. Happy to help. TAW Subscriber. JFT97.
Saw this pop up on the BBC site and half expected it to be Liverpool boss related. It’s not.
Had an interesting time attending the Podcast Show in London. Saw loads of Arsenal fans hanging around Islington, obviously, but thought I’d get a few location photos. It wasn’t until later that I noticed who is accidentally captured in this photo. Can you see who I mean? Genuinely didn’t notice.
Rumours that Jürgen Klopp will be back as LFC head coach for 26-27 prove to be dead in the water after FSG become suspicious during the interview process.
So, this will be the defining image of a title-winning season. The iconic, decisive moment of a race that was almost lost, nearly thrown away, pathetically wasted, but somehow, *somehow* saved at the last. Hang it on the Champions Wall.
Absolutely incredible that 4 of our 5 remaining games are against our closest rivals for top 5. We have to be completely switched on for the whole of the rest of the season.
I love that Southampton are playing this season in a replica of their 1976 away kit. It's the kit they wore when they won the FA Cup that season - the first final I remember watching on tv. It's working for them.
A reminder of some of the amounts united have spent on signings that never really worked out. Incredible.
A reminder, for any Reds going about their day, that our game v Galatasaray is an early kick off (17:45 GMT). Btw, we've never won there. Drew 1, lost 2 on our previous visits. Only won 1 out of 5 games against them in the UCL, that was a 3-2 home win in 2006. Not an easy game so COME ON!!
wish they'd practiced this move more. they seemed to have no idea what to do in this position.
Those Everton corners last night were something else. Literally, something else. Certainly not football. They're not the only ones who are allowed to get away with this madness.
It's been such weird commentary on the BBC site for this game and scoreline, so disrespectful to Exeter.
When we resumed playing, we had to catch up again and played the FA Cup semi, the final + extra time & 6 league games in 23 days in May. With 3 game to go Arsenal were 5 pts ahead.
Arsenal were evens to win the league. We were 9-1. But by 8th April we’d completely caught up in games & pts after winning 9 league games in a row. Arsenal had bottled it. Then Hillsborough happened and our season was paused.
It’s never talked about, for understandable reasons on our side. But cos we couldn’t play in Feb cos of bad weather, we had to play 6 league games + 1 FA cup round in March. At the of Feb we were 19 pts behind with 4 games in hand.
