I've made her some fun ones over the years. This vest feels like her first more mature piece, so now I think I need to do a fun one again because she's still my baby even if she's about to be a 5th grader 😭
I spent way too long working on this sweater vest for my daughter, but it’s finally finished and blocking ahead of the school year 💪🏻
I remember they told us we had to study history so we could avoid making the mistakes of the past. Instead I'm just at home like
You're telling me that lax health and safety regulations around food are bad for individuals AND the economy? Sounds like socialism to me.
If you're an Eisner voter who hasn't had a chance to read Out of Alcatraz and you would like to, let me know! It's a special book, if I do say so. @ifyoucantwell.bsky.social and @mrtylercrook.bsky.social created an American drama that feels distinctly of its time and our present day (unfortunately).
Just learned that Yungblud exists, and this ‘90s nostalgia has gotten out of hand.
I’ve had horrendous sinus pressure from allergies today, but it was still worth it to take the little panther outside for a while. She loves to eat the tips off grass.
It’s impossible to dunk on these people harder than they dunk on themselves.
My books coming out in October have some real "how your email finds me" energy. (Haunted Comic Club and Moon Deer available for pre-order now!) @oni-press.bsky.social
Y'all wanna see some layouts -> final pages from Out of Alcatraz? @mrtylercrook.bsky.social
You’ve heard of teaching reproductive health at home, but may I interest you in teaching history at home?
Before you dog on me, consider how angry the following sentence would make your average republican. I made this (ugly) vegan charcuterie board because my husband and I are doing the PBS fundraiser Rick Steves virtual wine tasting for date night.
Cover C by Ronald Wimberly. Ronald effing Wimberly! @ronaldwim.bsky.social
Cover B by Riley Rossmo. (Is Riley on Bluesky? He's pretty busy drawing so maybe not.)
Cover A by series creator, writer, illustrator, colorist, letterer, renaissance man and delightful person Joe Palmer. @joepalmerart.bsky.social
In November I took a photo of this mural in Minneapolis. The late, great John Lewis and the Selma Bridge, with the quote “Together you can redeem the soul of this nation.” I’ve been thinking about it all day, and what it says about the struggles of our country and about this beautiful community.
I think this is still in the spirit of your question. I missed out on the first printing!
Tamales on the stove, about to drink some wine and read the book my husband gave me for Christmas Eve, which he proudly described as “really fucked up.” (The Starving Saints by Caitlin Starling)
The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go. Oh, hell yeah.
Ahead of the TPB release next month, Plague House received a STARRED REVIEW from @ala-booklist.bsky.social! "Chisholm offers superb, densely textured, and truly atmospheric art here. ... Every panel appears haunted in some way, and he nails the gore." @davechisholmcomics.com
And the spines reflect the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys aesthetic perfectly 😍
