If you haven't watched yet, the TV show Harlem is imo not as good, but scratches a similar itch
There are so many others I could have included here, but 1000XResist will prob always be my GOAT
When they covered it on CBS News last night, they didn't show the part where Trump threatened to strip Mamdani of his citizenship or deport him. Only the part where he called him a communist and they only showed this part of Mamdani's statement. A complete misrepresentation of the interaction
I've been slacking on this 😅 4. Mutual Aid by Dean Spade, which is a fantastic book detailing what mutual aid is, why it's needed, and how to effectively, compassionately, and collaboratively run a project. This book called me out a lot on things I have to work on. Highly recommend

Chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce 😋
Just rolled credits on South of Midnight and I ADORED it. Gorgeous set pieces, great story + music. An instant classic. I love Hazel so so much. This was clearly crafted with a lot of love: for the characters, for Black culture. Sending my flowers to all the Black folks who worked on this 💐💐💐
I was on all of the flash game sites! Millsberry, Kiddonet, AddictingGames, The-n.com, Neopets... Oh, man I miss these websites! Also, my career is starting to make sense.
If there's one thing lots of people know about me, it's that I LOVE murder mysteries. And The Residence is a fucking good one. It is my favorite thing that Shonda has ever made. If you're a fan of Knives Out, you'll love this. We've gotta hype Cordelia Cupp as much as we do Benoit Blanc
In this case, I would like to break the cycle and the silence on my own erasure. Since the night of the GDC Awards, I often think about what I would have said if I had been given the opportunity to speak. I think it would have been something like this:

Update: we got it. Shoutout to @ayshaufarah.bsky.social and @elizabethballou.bsky.social. Trophy secured. Go team!
3. Zetas Till We Die by Amber and Danielle Brown. A sorority girl's killer reemerges 10 years later to go after her sisters. Some decent prose and dialogue with incohesive plotting + structuring, and characters whose personalities all blend together.
Playing Spirit Swap and getting my ass kicked by a polycule and a pastry chef. 10/10 game
🎵Boys! We are the boys in motion! We give you our devotion. Boys! We are the boys in motion! We give you our devotion! 🎵
2. Jackal by Erin E. Adams. Jackal's a horror murder mystery with social commentary on the murder epidemic of young Black girls. It's heavy. I had to put it down for a little after reading the prologue because it was so gut-wrenching. But it's well executed and gripping. I liked it!
My sister challenged me to read 15 books this year. Gonna make a thread about it. 1st book of 2025: 1. This Year You Write Your Novel by Walter Mosley. Short and sweet, with good, no-nonsense advice on writing.
What books are people reading right now? I'm checking out A Deadly Inside Scoop by Abby Collette
Doechii is forever in my Top 5. Alligators is my Album of the Year. Kinda surprised she's not my top artist and that Jessie Reyez and Kendrick didn't make the list
Oo0oo0ooh! Spooooky numbers! 👻😈 Thanks for the follows and Happy Halloween!
