Pair-bonded Gannets greet each other as they re-unite. They do a kind of a wee sword-fight with their beaks, stretching and flapping wings, etc. At Bempton Cliffs last week. #birds
Costa del Clyde this morning. Dolphins showed as soon as I stepped off the train; after the haze burnt off the Waverley steamed past; a Greenshank, which didn't hang around long; juvenile Ringed Plover in heat-haze at Battery Park. #birds

Just seven Goosanders gliding past on the River Kelvin. The bizarre (half-speed) soundtrack is courtesy of two wee boys who were gymming on the outdoor gym beside the river. #birds
All four Peregrines in Glasgow city centre last night. The juveniles 7SH (Winston) and 7AJ (Isa) at the nest box; adult female L7 perched above on the east wind statue; the adult male on overwatch high on the Met Tower; the male in flight. #birds
This all happened a bit too quick and close for me, over our heads at North Frederick St in Glasgow this evening. The juvenile male Peregrine 7SH (Winston) attacked a passing pigeon. He got claws on but the pigeon got away and Winston was left with just feathers. #birds
Kittiwakes on the Grand Hotel, Scarborough. There are 500+ pairs nesting all over the exterior of this large seaside hotel. #birds
Two different Kingfishers on the River Kelvin in Glasgow, near the Botanic Gardens, this morning. First one (left) looks like a juvenile, the second an adult female. #birds

Last couple of visits to the River Kelvin in Glasgow produced no Kingfisher photos but I did get a few minutes with this Bullfinch pair. Female on the left, male on the right. #birds

Kestrel chicks in the nest, in a tree in Bushy Park, London. I saw at least 4, probably 6, adult Kestrels in the park, and two different nests with chicks in. #birds
Walked Ben Chonzie today. Not much to see because of the weather but Spotted Flycatcher, Redpoll, Siskin and Mountain Hare showed. The stand-out was the raptors along the the B827 road from Braco to Comrie. Dozens of birds of prey: Red Kites, Buzzards, Kestrels, and what might have been a Merlin.
