Married for 20+ years to my best friend. He/him/Hey you Old truck mechanic, recently retired. Living in BC for a couple of decades, imported from Ontario. I grow food and flowers. Learning about native plants to help the bees. Solitaire witchy, pagan.
I don’t know what Ike the orange queen was doing but Cea just told her to not do something and go find the brain cell.
Very nice. My first larger crochet project was also a baby blanket. Not as nice as yours.
This is the way Ike the Orange, Queen of her domain eats from her food from her automated food dish. We have this machine to prevent Danu or Maisie eating Ike's kidney food.
I’m in the parking lot of the Abbotsford Cancer Centre waiting for the person I drove out today for her treatment. After several days of dry, 30’C weather we are getting this. My gardens should be happy. Volunteercancerdrivers.ca
I finally replaced my Danish dough whisk. This morning's bread mixing was so much easier. The pics are out of order. Mixing each bowl took less than 90 seconds. Hand mixing takes longer and I need to scrape the dough and flour off the sides of the bowl to mix it in.
Much nicer than my work. Bulky yarn can feel so comfortable. This is a partially completed blanket with 6 different Tunisian patterns. I feel better while crocheting but my watch sometimes tells me my stress levels are up. 😵💫
3 stages of pan pita bread. In After rolling before cooking. In the pan after being flipped to cook the other side. On a cooling rack. I also baked 3 loaves of regular bread. All bread made with sourdough as the leavening agent.
First garlic scape of the year is a month or more early even though I planted 2 weeks later because it was so warm.
We have Anna’s hummingbirds that stay here all year. I have a heater for one of my feeders for the few nights it gets below freezing. This is a summer pic.
I now has new Tunisian crochet hooks. Now what project should I do to start learning a new skill, as a fairly new hooker?
We are at youngest grandsons house while his parents are off to see Lucy Darling for ❤️ day. The cat on my shoulder is Jean, the sister to Maisie, our wee terrorist.
So much for going out to buy yarn. It works out as the Team Canada women's Olympic hockey game is on. They are playing the Swiss.
Our anniversary party. This is the second time we've attended, but the first that happened on Imbolc
23 years ago Cea and I had our handfasting in New Westminster's Central Park. Still going strong. Happiest of Imbolc blessings.
Cea and I have created a wee monster. It started when she offered Maisie lox. Then I offered her cheese. She now expects both if we have it out. Today I was getting some cold mashed potatoes ready to fry. Some fell on the floor. Maisie ate it. This is why I call her a meow dog.
I have no idea how Maisie finds this position comfortable. She often sleeps between my legs but this position is new. She also sleeps by my knees or hip in bed. I am her human.
Ike the orange princess likes to walk around the edge of our hot tub. Cea tries to convince Ike to just sit on the filter cover. So far Ike has not fallen in. She also sits in the sink.
With temps below 0'C I took down the large hummingbird feeder and put the heater on the small one. This Anna's hummer was happy with the warmth. Video taken on my Pixel 8a
I can tell cea is not watching the front security cam. I haven't been voluntold to remove the web.
When I wouldn't let Maisie chew on the yarn she curled up on my legs to sleep. I was watching an Earthless video and crocheting a scarf for a group that is donating to old people.
The view of the Vancouver Giants game from the Sapphire box of the Langley Event Centre
Danu waiting for an ice cube to magically drop from the fridge. Alas, no ice cubes this morning.
#Caturday In the morning Massie will snuggle beside my legs while I do my morning games and reading.
Cat Saturday Pictures from our cat sitting inlaws. It's been 2 days since we left. This is Maisie the moo-cat's first time without at least 1 of us home in the morning. She has been hiding from Leslie until today when she allowed herself to be picked up and petted. She purred.
