Get 10% off online. Ray and I will also be at the Broadside Show in Gillingham tomorrow and will have some copies of the rules on sale at an exclusive show price.
Had a great day at Dragonmeet yesterday. I went with kids, sharing our love of geek culture and RPGs. With over 200 traders in the hall my wallet is on life support. Video walkthrough of the show will be out in a couple of days 🤞
A little side project completed. Four MDF dashboards for What a Tanker. It's high time I got my tanks out on the table again.
My camera bag is packed, and I'm ready for the SALUTE wargames show tomorrow. I'll be there early, covering the event for my channel, Miniature Adventures TV. I'm looking forward to seeing great games, exploring the traders and meeting friends old and new. #SALUTE52 #SALUTE2025 #salute #wargaming
Just a few more days to SALUTE. I'll be in early so it's going to be a long but typically brilliant day. I've stocked up on painkillers for my crunchy knees so if you see me floating around that means a) I've taken too many pills, and b) An opportunity to say hello and have a quick chat 😁 #SALUTE52
Show off your painting station this Sunday. My room isn't very big (just 7'x7'6") so my painting setup is limited by available space. I've seen some amazing painting desks this week, what does yours look like?
The last paint job before the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge kicked off today. A snowy base and backdrop to photograph my 1812 Russians against. Now I just need to start on my first unit of Musketeers thepaintingchallenge.blogspot.com
6mm Wars of the Roses. I'm using Test of Resolve for the rules. All models & terrain painted by me.
The Rejects have been to Warfare in Farnborough. Excellent show and we've all come away with plenty of loot. Hopefully I'll have a video out soon.
Facebook just popped up a 'memory' from five years ago when I commissioned my then-brand-new Operations Room. This room kept me sane during COVID-19, facilitated the creation of my YouTube Channel, hosted countless solo wargames, and accommodated my ever-growing collection of miniatures. #Wargaming🎖️
Picture from the climax of my most recent game of Test of Resolve. This was The Battle of Litchfield, a what-if alternative to the Battle of Bosworth. I'll be discussing what-if games in my next video on Sunday on www.youtube.com/@MiniatureAd... #Wargaming, #WoTR, #TestofResolve
Whenever I use my phone for our groups weekly Paint and Chat sessions, the camera takes random pictures of me while I paint. I think it's supposed to be responding to the subject smiling, but all the pictures of me are Gawpy 😆.
Set up and ready for Broadside Wargames Show in Gillingham today. The Battle of Croix-de-Bouquets 1792, Sainte Dominique's fight for freedom.
Overwhelmed with joy meeting my first grandchild 😊. I told him all about my toy soldiers and said he can come round to play with grandpa whenever he likes. We're going to have so much fun.
My project for the day, making medieval roads. This batch represent unmaintained Roman road, the next lot I do will be slightly narrower trackways. As with my other recent terrain projects these are all made using felt. The fuzzy underside adheres very nicey to fleece battlement.
Sadly I can't be at The Other Partizan today. However I'm trying to be philosophical about it and am looking forward to enjoying the day vicariously through posts here and elsewhere. In the meantime here's a pic a took at Partizan back in May this year. #theotherpartizan #wargaming
D&D night this evening. Our group have been playing together for decades (since school in fact) but now use zoom to play as we are scattered across three continents.
Playing with my 6mm War of the Roses collection for a couple of days (to distract myself from the fact I can't attend Partizan in Newark this weekend 😞)
Working on some 6mm medieval buildings from Levan Miniatures today. Good to be back at my painting desk, albeit for short periods of time, following an enforced hiatus due to illness.
