The problem with Avowed isn't even if its a good or bad game. I'd lean towards it being mid. The real problem is the game never found an audience. Lots of people played it on Gamepass too. Obsidian in general's not been performing great compared to their budgets for a while.

This is a net good thing from Xbox. Obsidian's generally done a better job with Fallout than Bethesda proper. So I am curious how this is going to look when it's done.

I cover a fantastical world on my Youtube channel. And I can recognize that it is a fantasy, and that things don't always work the way they should. Watching people deregulate food production and safety 'because companies will do right by their clients' is such a fantasy I could never accept it.

Ah the #MadCat Mk 2 Enhanced. Talked up like it's great, when it's only redeeming feature is that it can be punched in the face repeatedly and not die. Clan "ER" Large Pulse Lasers are objectively some of the biggest "downgrades" as far as "Upgrades" in #Battletech history. Ruins mechs. lol

#Battletech Share your dream mech that you want to pilot

If I ever get to enact my vision for how I'm going to paint this thing, given I'm aiming for a really down-to-earth look for my #Chaos. I'm going to try and paint it along the lines of the European Adder, specifically based on examples found in Sweden. It won't be easy- but I am going to try.

I'm hoping to take inspiration from things like real-world reptiles that live in colder climates when I design out its paintscheme. I want to make it all feel very frighteningly authentic. Like a real horde of maniacs, being lead by some foul cosmic horror, is really piling off those viking boats.

but overall I don't want it to vibe with this kind of stuff. I want to paint my Daemon Prince like a half-frozen cosmic horror that fits within something that feels a bit more "real", even with the artic theme I'm going with the bases, rather than high fantasy. Even the Dragons, when I get there-

One of the cooler things I have planned, if I can ever get to this when I build out my #Warhammer the #OldWorld Chaos Army, is to lean more into trying to paint them as a grungy interpretation of a historic army, rather than a fantastical army. While there is undoubtedly a lot of quality here, just the general art-direction of AOS is always rough for me. It looks Warhammeree- but not? I dunno. Most AOS releases just don't do much for me on the hobby side of things.

It's even worse when you compare them in person. The hand-me-down marines.
