Great stuff. A new restaurant. We splurged with full meal of spring roll, soup, main course & ice cream!! Hope you enjoyed yours as much as we did ours. It was fantastic!! 😋❤️
Had to look up Prattsville. A very historic background from Revolutionary War battles. Tiny village of about 700 these days. I'm sure it is beautiful, Jedi. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prattsv...
Add a few more from Saturday. Just beautiful out. Heatwave coming in a couple days out here. Multiple days in 90s are forecast w/feels like temps over 100! 🥵😱 Getting in miles while it is safe. How is it by you? Your weather is ahead of us a day or so. Be safe out there, Jedi.
Never been on a trainer. Not too keen on indoor riding. So boring after all those outdoor miles. It's been sitting in basement all year. **Here's 50.01 more for you BTW. 🚴♀️💨😀Beautiful out. Hotter next week.
I got this in September 2018 to replace my 9 year old Roubaix after it developed a crack. Still rides great. I've gone over 160 miles on it 2x. Don't know if I repeat that, at least up here w/all the climbing. Specialized gave me a deal w/lifetime frame guarantee @ cost.
Banged out another one for 42.36. Broke out my old Sport roadie that has been relegated to the basement looking ever more forlorn. So excited I forgot to put my helmet on. 🙄Had to get used to harder shifting. The ride is bone jarring with 125psi compared to Defy 75psi. Lots of hills. Love it.💪❤️🚴♀️💨
Update. 2155.09 miles now for #MAG total. Ol' Bogie dog intervened in my behalf after dastardly ducks spied my sandwich & started charging. Just minding my own bidness at Old Forge lakeside. Not all heroes wear capes, Nicholaus. Some have only a collar. 🥰😆
Both have an altimeter. It looks like your's is maybe more accurate. 9% is really high variance to me. Maybe Garmin folks will know. Hope this helps a bit.
A couple more for the tracker #MilesAgainstMAGATS - 56.54 + 86.19 = 142.73. Riding on fumes Sunday. Set out for flat climb...so much for that. Ended up w/more climbing in 30 fewer miles!! 🙄There are no flat rides here. I should know better. Cheers. 🎉🎊
What are they gonna do if that type of weather comes in before/during the UFC event? 🙄
Another 45.01 for the bucket, Jedi. WHOOP WHOOP! Not as bad out there today. I went north where it is cooler. Yesterday was south toward the heat. Even treated myself to first Subway meal of '26 & 2 cookies. Also spent a few miles on the local gravel towpath through shady woods.🥵🙂
Basically 85° all 3 days with high humidity Wed & Thursday. I've always said that mowing is more tiring than cycling. Tuesday vs Thursday's 46 makes my point - >steps & calories burned. 🥵🥵 Fun quotient pushing a mower is a lot smaller! 🤣🚴♀️💨💨❤️
This is crazy, Jedi! Always say mowing is harder. For comparison of push mowing vs cycling in 85° & higher: Tuesday mowing 3+ hours – 26,697 steps, 3865 calories Wednesday cycling 5.5 hours 80 miles – 32,689 steps, 4378 calories Thursday cycling 3 hours 46 miles – 23,190 steps, 3764 calories
Banged out 45.81 in the pea soup of 90° heat index "enhanced" by high humidity. 🙄🥵🥵😂 Good grief. Today is ser to hit heat index of 100° potentially. I will head out earlier. Lots of breaks, Purple Jedi. Hit local spring for head dousing/bottle fill up. Like brain freeze. 😱🥶❤️Tasty, refreshing & wet.
80.33 more.🚴♀️💨💪 Hair soaked & matted to my punkinhaid for entire ride. 🥵🥵Ignored 80°+ & high humidity. The water fun in park was soooo tempting. 💦💦 Original goal was 60+ miles as storms were forecast by 2. Eventually rain chances dropped to 15% until 5. There was time to do 100, but I was done. 🥵🥰
80.33 more.💪 Hair soaked & matted to my punkinhaid for entire ride. 🥵🥵Ignored 80°+ & high humidity while keeping eye on the sky & checking updates. Original goal was 60+ miles as storms were forecast by 2. Eventually rain chances dropped to 15% until 5. Zig zagged my way back to pick up extra 20. 😊
The gist is a new court has determined that there are no opposing parties, you know - 'cause the 🍊🤡 is on BOTH sides of it. Thanks to 2 groups of journalists dogging this shit over that lack of adversarial proceding - it is now heading toward a showdown. joycevance.substack.com/p/trumps-pas...
3rd or 4th straight day of 15+ mph winds all day. Gravel roads in dense woods helped w/wind avoidance. First time on Lanning Road - a bit treacherous in spots with washouts & stones on downhills requiring lots of braking. Don't know where all that elevation came from - didn't feel like at the time.❤️
A quickie ride after 2 days of incessant high winds kept me sidelined. J & I planted most of the morning in flower gardens. Took a nap. Then banged this out on gravel roads where it was sheltered from the winds by dense woods.
First ride to Old Forge. It didn't disappoint! A perfect day on the bike. About 75°, sunny & slightly breezy. Assisted a turtle across the road after spotting him in the middle of the road. As soon as I got him into the weeds, 3 cars drove by. 🐢❤️🚴♀️💨💨
Banged out another 65 after losing the entire morning to shopping and such. Fun. Just beautiful out. About 75°, sunny & slight breeze. Easy flat ride. 🚴♀️💨❤️
