Even better arterial design...

Title: Same Capacity, so Much Safer.

Mounted it. New this time, I added car door edge protector strips to prevent the aluminum back's corners from cutting the canvas (which you can see in the old pannier).

That's fantastic! Hope Empire State Trail and East Coast Greenway get officially routed here. (Existing route blows -- convoluted and hilly.) Still need to tame Broadway there. Way too wide, so much reckless driving, and so ugly. Wrote Mamdani about our proposal on 1/14.

Cross section diagrams of existing conditions on Broadway at W 242nd St in the Bronx, and our proposal that makes it a safe, welcoming place. Existing has 9 lanes for motor vehicles. Proposed has 1 moving lane and 1 parking lane in each direction. The rest of the space is used for a linear plaza with food trucks, a 2-way protected bike lane.

Montgomery County is doing great work. Here is one of our favorites, at Weller Rd at Hathaway Dr. But they have so much more that needs doing. Wish their budget was 200x bigger.
