Happy pride, y'all. 🏳️‍⚧️ On the left, we have the trans flag; which gives me a solemn joy because it has helped me find a small piece of serenity and pride in a very dark existence. On the right is the aegosexual flag, which gives me a bitter solace--though I find it's colors to be favorites. 🧵

Here's an intro I threw together to get me in the mood, plus a title that's never going to get used...and a list of influences I'll be utilizing. I may never post this anywhere, it's pretty much just for fun--but I still enjoy doing all of the orbital work.

Ours is not the first echo of this universe.

On a certain day, in a certain era, within a certain place; a decision so heinous and cruel was made by an immeasurably corrupt government, which crossed the final line of patience for a being which gods themselves gave fearful prayer.

All the world’s children were first to die, gently, to spare them from the horror which followed; simply closing their eyes and being whisked away to another universe, reborn.

Then opened the Eye of the Void itself, splitting the sun and casting the skies to the hue of spilled blood–before the stars bled black and a voice, wordless and formless but older than all things, decreed in every soul:

“You have proclaimed life to hold value to No One, and so now I am here to claim it all so you may befoul it no longer.”

But just before all could be returned beyond the Void’s teeth, seven gods from seven pantheons threw themselves before the Eye and besought a second chance; though it would be given–it came with a warning.

There would not be a third.

So began the tales we know, in the echo we dwell–which we call:

As an extra... I have a project in hiatus that follows Sh'ol Malkah wandering a furry-inclusive AU Earth and destroying bullies with anime-inspired flair and ultra violence, "B/Eater." It went into hiatus because I was only getting more depressed--as I couldn't make bullies worse than the US has.

Merci beaucoup, for holding the raffle; and best of luck to all participating! La Dame, Onora; here. Correct design is the black-and-white image. All the right colors, the other image. I don't yet possess a reference for my squid-eyed goat girl, but one day... Non-exhaustive details in alt text.

Onora Llavandel / Onora Agonchild; a "squid-eyed goat" as she calls herself, is the angel servant of the Void. Though I love this piece dearly, she's meant to ALWAYS have an angry look to her--even when perfectly cheerful.

Hair is in the "hime" style, an ash-brown color--long enough to reach her backside and lightly restrained into a set of low twintails at her back (although no one would quite know unless seeing her from behind); her eyes are icy-pink and gold, with icy-pink irises and gold pupils in the sape of a four-point star; she wears complicated eyeliner and eyeshadow around distinctly almond-like, pointed-oval shaped eyes (thick black lines which also cover her eyelids completely) and purple shadow; her goat-like ears are a deeper, woodland brown, and her horns--which curl out from her temples and coil back before looping around her ears to point forward--are ashy gray.

She also used to wear an eyepatch and a nostril piercing, but I will wait for the day I have a reference to include them again.

Onora Llavandel when she was human, all colors are accurate. Eyebrows are not, they're really supposed to just look like little commas. Her hair is ashy brown, her eyes are icy-pink and surrounded by black eyeliner (which also paints her eyelids) and lavender eyeshadow. Her skin is a pale, pink hue. She has soft pink lips.

Appearance is that of someone in her late teens or very early twenties; clothing--here--consisting of a lace-trimmed, leather collar--all black--with a pewter pendant (which really ought to be the symbol of Lilith atop a six-point star). She's wearing a cropped black fishnet shirt under a gray and aubergine-purple corset-like halter top, both underneath a forest-brown and woodland-green trimmed leather half-jacket. She's also wearing a couple of fingerless black leather gloves tightened and fastened with snap-buckled straps.

She always has an angry face because of how her eyepoints are pointing, even when she's perfectly cheerful.

Her chest is quite modest in size, not more than B-cup, though her clothing makes it seem more prominent.

Y'all, this is it. I finally have it. That section of #LessonsInVillainy, barring all else, which should be the sole reason you read it on Ao3.

A whip of shadows flicked and flailed in silence next to Papillon, just before Blink materialized—trilling.

She stood atop the highest tower of the as-of-yet unnamed castle, watching one of Ha'Sleyl T'Mutah's brilliant moons steadily sinking beneath the ocean horizon. Silent. Reflecting.

Blink brushed against her side, prompting her to pet him through an oversized sleeve.

After concluding the business with the saaskuakh band, Papillon sent Ladame and her brood to continue dwelling in their mountain lairs; reluctant to unhome them for her own conveniences. None yet lived in her new settlement, so there was little need to defend it—other than the paranoid concern that wanderers may find the spontaneous materialization of a castle to be some flavor of omen beckoning them to vainglory. She really didn't want to have to go through the awkward paces of driving anyone—or anything—away.

Thoughts of pointless, stupid, and utterly unnecessary violence sent Papillon down a spiral of rumination. With all the power she possessed, because of the Old Man, she wouldn't even have to fight someone herself. The pathetic tiff with the curious saaskuakh band and Ladame went so overwhelmingly in her favor, she couldn't stop from guilting herself over it.

Her scars refused to let her think of any victory—devoid of needless suffering—as an accomplishment.

"Master, are you brooding again?"

Papillon looked down at Blink. And squatted down to his level, reaching both hands up to hold onto his feline face—affectionately rubbing and kneading his cheeks, eventually pressing her brow to his. "Blinnnnk, you're so cuuuute...fuzzy, fuzzy faaaace..."

He tolerated it with a measure of smug indifference.

"Yeah, Master's brooding again..." he concluded aloud, although not without pride for having the power to lift her mood again by just existing. Who do you think is limitlessly powerful?

This is a bad idea, but also appealing to me, because at least she would get a powerful kick out of first changing me into my ideal vision of my identity. Maybe keep me in her personal dimension.

We're basically just anime to her. She is the personification of "Nothing" and she's everything that the "Creator," her penultimately benevolent and goodly lover, isn't.

One day, I'll be rich enough to commission someone to draw her canonically correct--this and other pieces were all done for the sake of not having to describe her to people, with intentions of being used as references for harder works.

You can't assign an age nor quantify correctly the kind of power she has--her manifestations are like pressing yourself against elastic (in her case, Creation itself) to present a shape for people to interact with. She has no power of creation itself, only change--but she considers all realities within the full scope of Creation to be a gift presented to her for entertainment and company by AMN.

Morals, limitations, and philosophies are all mortal matters and she is older than conception--all just pretty colors on paper to her.

She might very well literally wave away your troubles, or stick you back into their midst within an even worse hell than you'd ever imagine--if it seemed like a better story.

You don't want that as a therapist.
