I have Ustican heritage, like a large number of Sicilian immigrants in NOLA in early 1900s (Louis Prima included.) This author sells these out of her home, and a handwritten letter and check gets you a signed copy. Of course, it includes St Guiseppe Alter Pasta Con Sarde ("alter" is her spelling.)
Handmade falafel. Started from dry chick peas and fava beans. Soaked overnight, peeled every dang bean, and because this recipe is almost like taking a bite out of a raw garlic clove, I halved the garlic, then roasted, and the leek and onion, to get a less aggressive flavor. #homecooking
