It did not go well! The brave imperial guard were slaughtered to a man. But they did manage to kill Vashtor, a Vindicator, and some cultists. It was a pretty fun time. also, they looked great on the table #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
Bout to play my first game of 40K in…20 years? I have no idea what I’m doing, wish me luck! #warhammercommunity
You can bond resin and plastic with super glue, I do it all the time. I didn’t make you a hatch guy, but certainly could. I usually close my hatches but I printed a scan of a classic Krieg tank commissar for my Rogal Dorn. Let me know if you want something like this and I can procure it
Hopping on a flight to Mongolia in a few short hours, and sadly I didn’t have time to quite finish Abelard before I leave, though I got him 90ish% done. I also wrote up the 1,000 pt list I hope to debut upon my return and got a quick photo of the army. ✌🏻 #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
Also you might enjoy this, which is the actual origin of DKOK, a doodle in the third edition imperial guard codex, circa 1999. This is a picture taken straight from my copy, one of the first warhammer codexes I owned (first was space marines, obviously, that’s everyone’s first)
Extremely WIP, but replaying Rogue Trader with the all the DLC inspired me to make some minis. Abelard, introduce me! #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer #roguetrader
GW has modified the “official” 143rd scheme several times. The original Forgeworld version is a very light gray-blue, whereas the newest version is a much bluer blue with white jacket linings. Mine sort of splits the difference, bluer blue but I don’t paint the linings a different color
Jumping the gun slightly because I still have to finish Larkin, but my Gaunt’s Ghosts are finally nearing completion! #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
The LRBT is an excellent choice, can’t go wrong there. Probably I can just print you all the turret options, though. At work today but will get started tomorrow, and once it’s done we can coordinate transpo. I have assembly instructions if you want to do it yourself, or I can put it together
Let’s see. We’ve got the standard battle tank version with battle cannon (my personal favorite), the exterminator (double barrel), the vanquisher cannon (long barrel)…those are sort of the classics dating back to third edition. But we also have the option for the Annihilator (twin lascannon)
I haven’t finished painting my 3d printed version, but the finished product looks like this (Demolisher turret pictured). Let me know if you want me to make you one, happy to give you a taste of the gateway drug for free :)
The Yarrick mini on my desk is speaking to me, and he’s saying, “When are you going to finish my Steel Legion escorts you started six weeks ago?” Such judgment #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
Just in time for the weekend (and 11th edition), it’s Commissar Yarrick! Really fun sculpt of a classic 40K character. #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
Here’s most of the 40K stuff I’ve painted over the past 18 months. Somewhere between 3 and 4k points-worth. I should probably play the game at some point right? No time like new edition time I suppose! #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
The Avenger Strike Fighter is done! I tried to emulate the Forgeworld “box art,” which I really liked without fully understanding why. Now it’s done, I realize it’s because I’ve basically made a GDI Orca from Command Conquer, and I love it 😅 #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
for some reason this little doodle from the Mordheim rulebook didn’t post, a error which requires correction because LOOK AT THIS BEAR WITH A BLUNDERBUSS #ripjohnblanche
Isn’t it amazing what a little sponging can do? 😅 #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
My little space Stuka is almost done. Still got some details and weathering to do, and the big ol base. But I expect I’ll have her finished tomorrow. #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
The Avenger Strike Fighter is coming together surprisingly quickly! What I love about this design is that it reminds me of the classic Naboo N-1 from Star Wars. #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
And that’s the Voss Lightning mostly done too! #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
A slow day at work makes a good day to build some minis. I have a couple of fliers to assemble, starting with this Avenger Strike #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
Ooh are you reading Death Rider? It’s very good, I actually don’t care at all for Steve Lyons who’s written the other Krieg books but Death Rider brought in a new guy who’s good. But Games Workshop kinda forgot about the other “Centaur,” which has been around for ages and looks like this!
that said, I’m happy with how the infantry turned out, even if they were a huge pain in the rear. Prints by the one and only tinylegend #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer
At long last, I’ve finished up the Centaur! It’s a fun kit, but I probably won’t do another for a long while. I paint tanks to take a break from painting infantry, damn it! #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer #steellegion
