Please help me— Is this character, as sketched here A) a bad guy? B) a birdfaced character? C) If this were a finished drawing, would the gun be visible as a solid object, or "invisible" with a dotted line (like the metal box that fades into invisibility in the 1950s example shown here):
This awfully weak story from BEAGLE BOYS #36 (1977) has the Beagles' magician relative and Mad Madam Mim both making the Beagles and their ill-gotten gains disappear and reappear. At one point the Beagles are armed with pistols, but they never vanish on their own... (Wow, this is ugly art.)
not to render properly. But this can't be what you mean in a comic book. I'm not even sure whether your mention of owls/"hooters" is meant to imply the character is an owl. We do have the quasi-human hillbilly Hard Haid Moe who has the usual shotgun, but if it were invisible he'd hurt himself.
In some issues there were. Here's a look at the inside-cover spreads from three (with my editor's columns and the contents outlays)—plus a sample from Kari Korhonen's multi-chapter story in Scrooge 467, new stuff expanding on Rosa canon with Scrooge *narrating* to give it a really unique flavor.

If there can be this many kinds of chili (pictured: favorite book, have made about 15 of them), there can be different kinds of BBQ too. I like the western NC style maybe 5% more, but the purer vinegar eastern BBQ has its moments, too. I'm an eat-galitarian.

THAT. SAID. When compiling it, I wanted to include Pepper Ann one-page comics created for the foreign market—but since the master list was missing, THIS incredible Australian one slipped past me. Pour one out for Pepper Antoinette, executed too soon (by evil ancestors of her 1997 pals, no less)!
I was today years old when I learned that long before Miyazaki’s Catbus, the “Catavan” prowled the streets of England—driven by Sourpuss, a Catwoman parody—in Trevor Metcalfe’s 1970s comic “Birdman and Chicken.” In one strip the undynamic duo are locked inside the vehicle and nearly drowned in milk.
Relax... THIS isn't the Mandela effect either, it's just that early in the character's history they put a "the" in his name, then decided to stop (so later products, and reprints of earlier products, get rid of it).
Here's Betty and Veronica in two 1989 examples (series II, 21 and 22), with a female writer treating it as a given that hunky men are what the female gaze wants—in a comic with a majority female readership. Not being judgemental here; I'm more curious as to when culture shifted away from this.
No worries. Still fascinating; as late as the 1990s you see media—often created by women—where female protagonists are seen objectifying scantily-clad male hunks as if it were the natural distaff equivalent of, say, men objectifying Marilyn Monroe. Then it's as if something made hunks unappealing. >

Here, Gyro Gearloose’s future descendant Chip, using his “time ticker” (time-traveling stopwatch!) to give Scrooge a future tour. I love the “CityWalkers,” travel devices you can ride as they walk for you… with treadmills on top just in case you still want to walk *while* you ride. (Wait a minute…)

(For all of ten seconds, I'd actually written "I know, not a true beat-em-up," then deleted it, thinking "Eh, it was for her.") Does Hi-Fi Rush qualify, or are you thinking side-scrollers only? Rekka is hilarious, and I wouldn't mind siccing her on people who bother me. (-:
