Good morning from the Union Club, Victoria BC. Actually yesterday morning but same diff.
Lately, some folks have been having a little trouble with political labels.
There are movies you like or love, movies you watch repeatedly, movies that generate pleasant nostalgia. But has a movie ever changed your life? For me it was All The President’s Men (1976). A year later, I was the youngest of 24 accepted into a respected college’s journalism program.

For lunch: supermarket Egg salad sandwich on white with a Pepsi Cola Cream Soda. Now I feel like repacking my bearings and a few frames of 10 pin.
It’s kind of funny. This little roadside opened 10 years ago. You could get seafood items then, but not anymore, not for a few years. Still called El Sabor de Marina. Still the greatest burrito in the South Okanagan.
He wants you to loathe him. You do, you already do. But he doesn’t believe you so he does another performative obscenity and your assumption that he’d already hit the bottom is proven, once again, to be wrong.
It’s comforting to know that the people who are responsible for bagging my pistachios are also bagging MY pistachios in my Kirkland brand underwear.

Tartine: it never had a chance. The most artful of open-faced sandwiches, it can’t compete with the modern grab n’ go lifestyle. But the toppings are endless and the opportunity to knife & fork it means less chance of fouling your clothing. Do you like the tartine? Do you have a favorite?

I know folks in the east (north America) have been getting their winter. Not out here in BC and the Okanagan Valley. One very extended autumn. Right now- doing some housework, got the deck door open, wearing shorts. About 8°C.
