👋🤡👌 They/them gardening poser
And here are my next in line cuttings. My previous cuttings were just put in stagnant water on a window seal. It will be interesting to see if these do better on the back porch in aerated water. I moved the jar to a more sunny spot after taking this pic.
Can't believe I forgot to post this garden update! It's all growing so fast. You can see what side gets better sun XD
I've moved two of the three basil cuttings from their water tubes into a pot.
Current state of my garden!! They are all so big 😍. One is even climbing 🌟
Started this new batch 2 days ago. Water quality already looks amazing and the smell is good. The fast breakdown of the pecan flowers is awesome
2 weeks in. My traditional compost is looking good. Added more plant matter, cardboard, and some animals from my in ground compost pile.
Garden update! I'm so happy with my new sprouts and how well my basil is doing 🎊
I turn the bucket with a stick to make sure fresh air gets in all the pile and then I kick it around the yard. Exercise for me and more rock aided chewing.
My 3rd bucket is closer to a traditional compost. It contains all the same ingredients as the other two but it's only moist and I manually turn it daily. No worms inside however. I added river rocks to help chew the compost when I turn it. It sits in the sun all day to add extra heat energy.
Any composting suggestions? Right now I'm using 5 gal buckets. 2 of which I have filled with rain water and cut up grass, coffee grounds, sticks, dead leaves, and decayed leaves that have been naturally composting into soil. The water logged composters are aerated by some aquarium air pumps.
