(also for context abt landry violence, from the blaseball wiki) RIV Blaseball, you will be missed even if you were a complete wreck most of the time.

Little was known about Violence before he ascended to his current form, an incantation read shortly before the game by a lucky fan. For the next few hours, the fan would be infused with the spirit of Violence and play like a demon; afterwards, their life would be forever changed as the Violence lived on in them.[1] Regardless of the body Violence used as a vessel, he used he/him pronouns and played shortstop. No matter his host, Violence was always the hottest member of the team. He did not drastically alter the physical form of his hosts; he simply made them realize how hot they were all along.

The only signifier of Violence was a denim jacket with a Tiger on the back (pictured on the left), mysteriously acquired recently by Violence's soon-to-be host. The method by which the host acquired the jacket varied between manifestations. It had been documented dropping from the sky, appearing in their wardrobe, or arriving at their home in a package the day before a game. Regardless of how they obtained the jacket, when they read the incantation a bolt of red lightning struck the lucky fan. The Tiger's eyes would glow an eerie red, and once again Violence would take to the field of Blaseball.

Attempting to summon Violence via the incantation without the jacket was not recommended.

I didn't realize how many times I would say goodbye to you.
I knew of the primary one - how could I not,
When it hung over us for four years?
It's been just over a month since that goodbye,
But we've had so many more since then.

I said goodbye later that day, when they took your body.
It already wasn't you by that point -
Don't think you felt like it was for a long time before.
I remember holding strong for six hours that day,
Waiting to fall apart till no one could see.

I said goodbye a week later,
Through ceremonies I didn't even know,
Surrounded by people who only half-knew me.
I sung to myself songs I meant to share
But never got the chance to give you.

I said goodbye once again on Wednesday,
Recognizing death the day after recognizing my birth.
We drove to a part of town I didn't recognize,
And left to sit in the Trinity River
A part of our family's trio.

I expect to say goodbye again next week,
When I leave this home - sorry, our home
For what I hope and fear is the last time.
I hope you can forgive me for not being able
To carry you with me when I go.

Really, I think we said goodbye a long time ago:
When I left for college, when you first got diagnosed.
I hardly knew you by this year's goodbyes,
Despite our efforts to reconnect again.
I'm sorry I wasn't enough of a person yet to know how to.

And of course, there are a million more goodbyes to say.
