My sweet ginger cat, Cinnamon, will bring us gifts overnight. She goes outside (enclosed backyard) and chooses a rock, empty snail shell, leaf, stick, stone or something else that interests her, and she brings it inside, leaving it where we'll find it. That's love

I saw a bird I've never seen before on Lake Geneva and the Rhône River, so I looked it up (I am a southern hemisphere person). Introducing the Common merganser or Goosander

Loving Someone with ADHD Means Remembering THis...

They're not ignoring you - their brain just hit five tabs at once.

Forgetting things doesn't mean they don't care. It means their memory file cabinet is a little... chaotic.

They're not zoning out because they don't care - their mind just drifted into 12 different trains of thought.

When they hyperfocus, it's not that they've chosen the project over you - it's that their brain locked them in and forgot to come up for air.

Transitions are hard. Going from "being" to "doing" can feel like climbing a mountain.

They probably already feel bad about the thing you're frustrated about. A little grace goes a long way.

They're not being dramatic - rejection sensitivity is real and it stings deep.

They genuinely want to remember, follow through, and be consistent - but executive function has other plans sometimes.

They're not unmotivated - they're overwhelmed and don't know where to start.

Love is patience and love is Post-it notes.

You may be aware that a group calling itself the ‘Lesbian Action Group’ is seeking an exemption under the Sex Discrimination Act to host an event for “Lesbian Born Females Only” at the Victorian Pride Centre for International Lesbian Day. The exemption application (which can be found here) seeks to exclude transgender women, bisexual and queer women, non-binary people, heterosexual people and gay, bisexual or queer men from the event, although it is mostly directed at excluding lesbian transgender women. They are also seeking a general 5-year exemption to hold “Lesbian Born Female Only” events (which are not specified). It appears that one of the people behind the application attended the recent “Let Women Speak” event outside Victorian Parliament in March 2023.
